Albatross Italian Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

This place was amazing went there with my nan and grandad and the waitress was lovely she was so kind and we were last ones left in the restaurant. There food is delicious and I loved it recommend - Bella age 13

Third time visiting, each time food was beautiful and staff very accommodating

If this is supposed to be the best Italian restaurant in town thankfully we didn't try any of the others.0 points for front of house customer service. The very young staff have an attitude based on rudeness.Don't have the salad as it is drowned in balsamic vinegar therefore that is all you can taste.Excellent pizza dough chef and a pleasant cannelloni3 points.I will take my Italian wife to Norwich tomorrow to try and find a real Italian restaurant

Baffled by all the good reviews for this restaurant - we struggled to find any positives other than our waitress being friendly.The food had zero taste, was clearly microwaved and overpriced. You would have got more flavour from a Tesco ready meal.Incredibly disappointed, to the extent that I have left my first ever online review for a restaurant.

Really disappointed in the gluten free options. Italian restaurant that has no gluten free pasta options. Not only that the Portions were tiny and price was stupid. Had four tiny pieces of beef for £17. Wont be going again until they have better options.

Good service, but out of Prosecco 'due to it being nearly end of season', but it was the first day of a 2week half term? House white was not my cup of tea ... and all other wines are only by the bottle.Calamari was the chewiest I have ever had ...... which was a shame because the rest of the meal was ace: Garlic mushrooms, lasagne, carbonara, a fillet steak and an amazing ice cream

This restaurant has VERY good food. But, music was not in setting with the atmosphere (old English music that shifted to earlier still old music) and it needs a serious touch up with decor, the paintings where like the music not Italian and didnt relate to eachother. With a good theme and better music this place would be awesome. Staff was all very lovely and welcoming/accommodating.

Had a very nice dinner with very good, friendly service.We were quite early in the evening but it had a nice atmosphere with a simple decor. Sample bottles of wine lined up on one wall is an original way of illustrating the wine list and the menu has lots to choose from.It's tucked away in a cellar but the signage is clear at street level and several other customers appeared after us which shows its popularity.

We love this place, been the last couple of years and whilst it changed hands the food and service have not! A real experience that you must have if you come to Great Yarmouth.

Just fancied an Italian meal during this short break. The albatross, despite its strange name, is a really great Italian restaurant. Don't be deterred by the stairs down to the basement. Once you go through the door it is great friendly service and a good varied menu and wine list. Avery enjoyable meal out.
