The room was spacious as we also had a sitting area. Everywhere was spotless and the bed was so comfy. The staff were so friendly and an absolute credit to the hotel. The bar was great and we only had breakfast as we ate out all the time. Im disappointed that I didn't get to sample the larger menu. We went away for a lovely weekend and this lovely hotel and its staff made it even better. Thank you so much and we will definitely see you again. Remember my bible 🤣🤣🤣

Very nice overnight stay The bar and restaurant areas are excellent. I also had an evening meal, the food was excellent and the staff very nice and helpful. I would've given 5 stars but for the slightly cramped bathroom in my room. I'm not a big person so would be more awkward for someone who was. Also it was impossible to get a sensible temperature in the shower, either freezing or boiling I mentioned this on checkout, and the hotel later emailed me to say it had now been repaired, however, that wasn't much good to me now, and no suggestion of a few quid off or a discount in future

I stayed in the hotel for almost 3 weeks for work. The staff is amazing so helpful, with all questions that I had. The rooms are clean clean! About the food,..just try everything from the menu, it is amazing 🤩!! Breakfast again so much choice and all fresh!

Stayed many years ago, but always remember how welcoming and friendly they were. Food was lovely. Rooms were spotless and we had great nights sleep. Will be returning at some point soon.

Lovely town hotel with super hospitality and seriously good food. Comfortable rooms with character and everything you need for a nice long stay. The very warm and friendly welcome extended throughout my time there (over a week) and the attentive and engaging staff made me feel like nothing was too much trouble (though I tried not to test that!). All the difference in the world in feel and facilities from the Alan Partridge-style 'travel tavern' where my colleagues and I stayed before being upgraded to the Andover House. Thank you to Victoria and all the staff who looked after us so well. Highly recommended indeed!

My expectation looking at the outside, were exceeded when we got inside . Wow ! What a really nice hotel . Very clean and tidy . The staff were excellent. Polite and very welcoming. I will say if you stop in the atic room . Bring some oxygen 😆. Quite a few steps . The breakfasts and the hotel meals were 1st class . Very good chef's. Fully recommend. We will go back .

Disappointing stay, has to be our 5th or 6th time staying here and this time was so much different, very quiet with no atmosphere, room felt drab, sofa was a but grubby, TV had subtitles stuck on, breakfast was in half hour slots that we had to pick from on arrival, no option to grab juice or water, coffee is the rubbish filter stuff, have to pay extra if you want cereal as well as a cooked breakfast. In my opinion a bit more focus on a guests experience than on trying to "do the right thing"
