Fishermans Return in Great Yarmouth

We were surprised at the pricey lunch menu but sign of the current times unfortunately and this restaurant is in the same boat as everyone else. Great indoor space. Tables outside. Menu varied and good kids' selection. Table ordering by q code is easy. Food arrived quickly and was v nice and enjoyed all round. Nice jaunt after trip to beach up the road.

Good pub for a drink but found prices higher there than others we visited during our stay. Food okay but I found the menu a bit boring after 4 nights of eating there. Fish pie and meat pie were good , beef burger also good , not impressed with the lasagne , hardly any pasta in it and swimming with oil from the cheese topping , I’ve had better for less money . Staff are welcoming and attentive.

We stayed just 2 nights but had a really good time. The twin room was above the pub with a private entrance & shared a large verandah with 2 other rooms. Never heard any noise, the food was excellent & I can highly recommend the breakfast choices. All the staff we met were lovely, helpful and we'll be back again. It's an excellent base for walking, touring or just relaxing

First visit the food was excellent. Unfortunately the standard dropped through the floor on our second visit. The Chicken Madras was more like a chicken stew with a splash of curry powder. The Burger was a disgrace both in its presentation and taste, for £13.95 you would expect alot better. Onion rings were the size of a ring you would wear on your finger, suffice to say, we won't be visiting again.

Lovely pub with a warm welcome on a wet and windy Wednesday evening (and I’m sure it’s just as nice whatever the weather)Great to see still cider - two choices - available along with a good selection of ales.We had fish pie and chicken burger for mains and both were really nice and good value for money.A really nice, welcoming pub with a good selection of drinks and lovely food.

Just spent an excellent 3 night stay at this traditional & modern pub. We were well looked after by great staff & management. Spotlessly clean rooms & facilities with great breakfasts. Well recommended for a quick getaway for you and your pooch. Excellent thank you. Anita, Kevin & Rosie

A real gem. Lovely food and friendly service. On a cold and windy day on the coast, a very comfortable place to warm up and be satisfyingly fed. Such an asset to a beautiful coastal village. Dogs love it and the staff obviously love dogs. Well done Fisherman's Return, we love it!

Lovely fish and chip lunch, very friendly.When we asked whether there was a water bowl for dogs (as we’d been walking on the beach) they brought a fresh bowl of water for her.Lovely to be made so welcome. We will be back!

Great place for a well pulled pint. We also ate here, my partner had fish pie, I enjoyed the fish and chips. Apparently the fish pie was amazing. The fish and chips was the best I’ve eaten, very fresh and proper, crispy batter, just look out for bones. Staff friendly and attentive.

Lovely traditional pub with a good selection of beers. Nice atmosphere but menu quite uninspiring, not sure how much of the food is 'homemade'. Given the location and popularity they seem to be missing a trick. Large portions.
