Ordered via app on table starters, mains and drinks.Drinks arrived then mains. Asked about starters which were then being prepared.BBQ Chicken Burger inedible being tastless and BBQ sauce had a funny taste, but fish and chips were fine. When starters arrived they were over cooked. The portions were small even for starters not like the picture on the web site, sauce for the prawns was just hot with no redeeming taste.Meal for 3 cost nearly £70! The Manager would not come to speak to us but kept sending the waiter with messages and questions. It was a dreadful experience and the restaurant is obviously trading on its name, not quality or value for money. Will avoid at all costs in the future.UPDATE: To be fair to Harry Ramsden's they have agreed this was not a good experience and have refunded part of the cost of the meal. We only paid for the things we were happy with.

Chips were hard and under cooked, scrampi had a funny taste to it therefore didn’t eat it! Would not go back there. Slightly pricey Ā£25 for food that couldn’t be eaten wouldn’t mind if it was edible Plus side front of shop chap was lovely and polite

Came here today in the restaurant with my son and husband. Can I just say you have the most loveliest and sweetest staff. The lady’s serving were magnificent. 2 lady’s with dark hair. We have visited many restaurants at Great Yarmouth and this is by far the best. Food was delicious but we were most pleased with the service. You lady’s are fab keep it up

Came her with family and friends at 1200ish to book a big table for 1230 we was greeted by a friendly tall boy Calvin and said that was OK, real nice of them to accept us on such short notice., the waitress was very polite but honestly the food was on point and the fish was amazing and well presented, I did tell Calvin to tell the chefs well done on a job well done and hoped he did tell them.Everyone was happy and thank you again.Only let down was the restaurant looking like it was stuck in in a time loop.

I very cold cloudy day in January and Harry Ramsden’s Restaurant provided us with absolutely amazing fish and chips at a good price (the fish was enormous!) A young man ā€˜Daniel’ was our waiter and showed how the job should be done! He could be an asset in any top class restaurant, so thank you Daniel

Only chip shop on earth where you wait one hour for a portion of chips…Lady serving had the energy of a snail literally no effort to go quickly at all… waited 35 minutes to get to the till (despite there being three people in front of us). We then order only to be told there’s a 15 minute wait even for chips… utter shambles, the guy cooking spent more time chatting and standing around than actually preparing food….In essence they are slow, they are expensive, they don’t care at all about providing a quick service and most importantly the food was average at best… avoid!

Visited today at 4pm. Restaurant was empty when we arrived but another 3 tables were in by the time we left. I had regular cod and chips with a portion of curry sauce. Fish was cooked perfectly, as were the chips and the curry sauce was the best I’ve tasted. My wife had jumbo sausage in batter with chips and mushy peas and was equally impressed with her meal. Was initially thinking it was a little pricey at Ā£29 including two large diet Pepsi’s but the quality of the food and the fact they have bottles of sauce on the table left us thinking it was money well spent. Great service too from the staff. We will definitely eat here again and recommend Harry Ramsdens next time you fancy a chippy meal.

Unappetising and tasteless. I recently moved to Great Yarmouth and there are some great fish & chip shops.I tried Harry Ramsden’s today and was totally disappointed. I ordered a medium cod and chips. The cod must have been frozen for months, definitely not fresh. It was undercooked and grey and inedible. The chips were ok, so that became my meal.I also waited 20 minutes for a basic order and wish I had gone to one of the other shops instead.I definitely won’t be back and suggest you try one of the other shops on the beach front as they are a million times better in terms of service and fish

Good points - lady serving today (27/12/21) was really friendly and helpful. Cod was tasty and a good size.Bad points - chips were few and far between and pretty underdone. Batter was falling off the fish and had a soggy bottom. £9.78 for a chippy is taking the Michael!

Although the website said there were no eat in seats available when we turned up to get a Take away instead we had no trouble getting a seat in the restaurant!Staff polite. Interior of restaurant a bit dowdy but clean. Food tasty although I requested a white plaice ( No black skin) and unfortunately didn't get one. Fizzy drinks were unavailable but not an issue as I wanted a j2o anyway šŸ™‚
