Hemsby Fish & Chip Shop in Great Yarmouth

Cod was lovely and cooked to order, chips a little dry, but it's the end of the season and we will soon be having new potatoes, would recommend to order by phone on a Friday.

Good quality fish & chips. Would recommend this takeaway.

Let's start with the fact that my little boy doesn't usually eats a battered sausage, but he consumed the whole thing together with crunchy batter like it was a chocolate. Very pleasent meal on the day out, fish and chips very good and good prices ☺️.

Chips were undercooked, fish was swimming in grease and the batter very soggy, mushy peas were grey and curry sauce tasteless! Extremely disappointed, seemed very rushed. Was a waste of £18, will most definitely not be using again or recommending

Food is super fresh and delicious customer service was amazing and restaurant is really clean and fresh, one of the best fish and chips I’ve had 10/10 recommend :)

This place will be the reason my doctor finds out I have high cholesterol! Unreal right from when I walked in! My mother had just moved to Hemsby and on the day we needed a meal and fast! I walked in the chippy and first thing I could smell was beef dripping, now if anyone knows about dripping and chips this is the absolute elite level way to cook them! Got it home opened it up and the taste and smell was just how I expected, I was in heaven! Im going to find it really hard to stay away from this place now I’ll be a regular visitor to Hemsby! I would also like to add the mushy peas are proper mushy peas not the watered down rubbish you get around London! Keep up the outstanding work, I’ll be seeing you and your beef dripping chips very soon!

Went here whilst on holiday and glad we did. My son has an egg allergy and after trying two other local take outs we found this one, and thankfully their batter does NOT contain egg. Staff were very helpful, checking ingredients for us and even showing us portion sizes so we could decide what to buy. We had cod, chips, mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy, let's just say there was nothing left on our plates, very enjoyable. It's worth noting that they only accept cash, as per signage. Good price too, cheaper than I expected it to be. Thank you for your help and the delicious food.

Ordered 2 large cod with chips and 2 kids meals. Fish was cooked to perfection, saveloy was good, chicken nuggets went down well, but the chips were soggy. A little bit more time in the fryer would have done them the world of good.Tasty though

I very rarely eat fish and chips but my Mum and I spent a few days in Norfolk and she loves fish and chips so we went and got some from here! Oh my word! These are the most amazing fish and chips I've had in many, many years! It's a good job I don't live nearby otherwise I'd be eating these far too often!The chips were SO tasty and the batter on the fish was absolute perfection (as was the fish itself). Delicious!
