Mediocre at best! We popped in as we needed somewhere we could take a dog and a child and we wanted to sit down somewhere. Looked nice from the outside and busy. We ordered sandwiches, a pizza and soup. The person who had soup said it was tinned and very expensive considering. The sandwiches were OK but expensive. And the pizza for a 5 year old was actually half a pizza. Jacket potato's were about ÂŁ8!!! Wouldn't bother in future.

Been here a few times in the past and had a OK food and drink. Sadly this time the capachino and hot chocolate were so bloody hot you had to add cold milk to cool it down. The coffee was poor quality . I didn't complain but I won't use this place now.

Lovely relaxing place to eat. Good variety of meals. Afternoon tea coffee and cakes. Breakfast, Lunches, dinners have to hurry closes by 4pm

Nice coffee, friendly staff and it's the warm space, music and nice atmosphere that makes it. Feels like a 20s and 8Os vibe in one, if that makes sense!

Nice place but not many shops need the new different shops to keep people intersted no need for another McDonald's

Love coming here for a lunch or just a pot of tea. inside and outside seating. Toilet facilities & disabled toilet key required from till. Very friendly and pleasent atmosphere. Sell beautiful cakes. Good sized portions of food. A little pricey for meals but you do get a nice meal.

Disappointedly uninpressed. Came here for breakfast as my usual street café The Hamburger was closed. Breakfast was not pleasing to the eye & equally not pleasing to the taste. Beans were Luke warm, mushrooms swimming in watery liquid,. Egg was uneatable due to hard rubbery yolk & crispy net underneath & the slice of fried bread was just plonked under the egg in a complete slice not even cut in half to make it look better. The fried bread also seemed to have been fried for some time. Asked for a latte & recieved a flat white. Tables outside & inside seemed to take ages to before they were cleared to the extent that several customers moved the used plates to a main table that others had used. All in all I would not recommend & will certainly not revisit.

On the outside this looked like a lovely place so we popped in for a coffee and a slice of cake for the other half. The staff member that served us was nice and polite and they has soya milk which was a touch. Now the cake was a different matter altogether and for the price was expecting something a little more fresh and tasty. The black forest gateau was stale, dire and mostly inedible, the other half who loves a bit of cake left half of it. Very highly priced for the area.

Just had a sandwich lunch at La Continental. Both the egg and cress and the tuna and cucumber were delicious, with soft fresh bread and generous quantities of filling, plus salad garnish. Prices were reasonable too, and the staff and service good.

Nice large cafe with indoor & outdoor seating that sell a wide range of hot meals, snacks, cakes plus hot & cold beverages, I chose a slice of black forest gateaux with an americano coffee, I found the lady who served me very unfriendly as I only asked if they do cream with the coffee, I found a clean table & took a seat, unfortunately the cake was so rock hard & stale that I had a job to put my fork through it, plus my coffee just resembled hot water, very disappointing! If you would like to use WiFi, you need to go & ask for a code, good luck!
