Excellent restaurant quality food at very reasonable prices served by exceptionally polite and helpful staff, with a great family atmosphere makes this a great little tearoom.

It's a horrible wet and cold day on the seafront, we have spent hours and loads of money dragging our toddler along the front from one arcade to another- then we popped in here for a quick bite to eat- honestly it's a god send, a real gem of a traditional tearoom/cafe. The service is really excellent and personal, the food puts many many expensive restaurants to shame. Our 18month old absolutely love the kids dish and I was ultra jealous of my other half's steak ciabatta. Its really traditional, homely and welcoming with amazing food. Probably the last and best cafe (with restaurant quality food) in the area. Definately a must visit.

What a total gem of a tea room outstanding service, friendly staff, almost everything on the menu available gluten free (which is not usually the case) cakes so delicious its difficult to choose. All in all just amazing. We will be back in the summer for sure xx

We visited this venue twice due to staying in Great Yarmouth for 2 days and enjoyed every visit the staff in there were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be going back

As the mother of a coeliac child, it is always hard to find places to eat, where they feel they aren't a pain or different. We found Christopher's at Merrivale and they said they have gluten free dairy free, vegan/vegetarian options. This seemed to be the place to go. We went along and they were incredibly accommodating, friendly and nothing was a bother.I would highly recommend a visit and we will be coming back when we're in Great Yarmouth again.

We have been going to these tea rooms for many years now, after we have walked around the model village. This is our final place to visit after a long day, working our way from Joyland down the Prom and the arcades. The food is excellent, and locally sourced. (Some people will notice a change to the name, but Chris has owned and run the business all the time we have been customers). There is a very good choice of food on the menu, from meals to desserts. You need to get there by about 6pm, because the popular items sell out in busy times.

Service very slow. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes our order was taken. I was after a single espresso and a cream tea. The espresso was undrinkable. When it arrived it was like warm and no hint of crema. Tasted of instant coffee. The tea was ok, pretty standard English breakfast tea. Scone was heavy and lacking in flavour. Avoid. Still waiting to pay for this. No option to pay at counter.

We came here on a quiet Tuesday afternoon to get out of the torrential rain and were pleased to find a pleasant covered garden with plenty of tables and lots of pretty hanging baskets and little sparrows flying around. The young waitress was friendly and made sure we checked into the Covid app.We tried to order from their very wide selection of hot foods, but were told the kitchen was closed for hot food (at 4.20pm), so we opted for a cream tea, which at £4.95 seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, the scones were pretty awful - one of them was almost totally flat as though something had gone wrong with the bake and both were extremely dry. We couldn't be bothered to complain, but probably should have done. However, the clotted cream and pot of tea was nice, as was the chocolate fudge cake that my daughter had.Overall it was a pleasant and inexpensive experience and though I definitely wouldn't have the scones again, I can imagine their sandwiches and hot food faring better.
