Mr. Chips in Great Yarmouth

Tried to order a large cod and chips but only had medium, however this was a blessing as the portion was huge and more than enough. All seems to be cooked to order so expect a little wait which is worth it. They do accept phone orders so you could phone ahead for a timed order to avoid the wait. Fish was tasty and batter perfect, chips typical chip shop chips all in all would use again.

I really hope you open soon!This is by far, the best fish and chip shop I have ever found.Every single time, without fail, you get a very generous portion of the fish (cod/haddock) which tastes delicious and has a perfect juicy texture. The chips are also delicious!I saw a comment earlier, where someone actually moaned about the portion size being too big, which I find absolutely hilarious!We tend to get a fish each and share a large chips, but honestly how could you get too much?Basically, I have moved to London now and cannot buy fish & chips anywhere else because my standards are so high from Mr Chips! I am always look forward to coming back to Gorleston on Sea and as a tradition getting them here, and only here!I’m telling you, when they open again, don’t even bother going anywhere else in Gorleston because the prices are much more and the portion sizes are way less, I’m talking about a quarter of the size these guys.I really hope this closure is temporary cause otherwise I’ll probably never have fish and chips again!So much love for Mr Chips!!!! 💕

5 star fish and chips. Can paid by cash or card. Friendly staff, clean, and prices are not to bad. This place is a must, the best around Gorleston area by far

So it was Easter Sunday and I had searched loads of places for fish and chips, when I find Mr chip's open... not the most glamorous place but its open, so I order 2 med chips n 2 med cod, takes 10 mins which is fine. When I get back with my food...... Wow absolutely amazing and the portion is very generous I would highly recommend this little gem.

Looked very nice to begin with massive portion however was disgusting full of Greece not nice at all will definitely not use again the seagulls have full bellys now though

I don't think I have seen fish portions that big ...ever! I ordered a large cod and chips and the staff member said we only have medium so I thought ok . I have had large cod at various establishments and they have never been anywhere near as big. Cooked perfectly and the chips were nice and golden. Plenty of scraps and friendly service. Would definitely recommend. Oh and the prices were more than reasonable 😁

Maybe it's only the two random times I have used this chip shop but both times the food has been almost inedible and the chips greasey and horrible. Which is a shame as it seems very popular but we never seem to get it rite..

WOW. I am always amazed at the quality and size of the fish portions, especially for the price. It is consistently AMAZING. Best fish in the COUNTRY and the chips are so yummy too. You wont find fish this size anywhere else. Thanks so much for providing our town with the highest quality for the best value :-)Ps. They have a card machine now too!

Very tasty meal, absolutely delicious. Fish perfectly cooked, topped with the best batter I have ever tasted.
