Planet Poppadom in Great Yarmouth

Was great service and food to start with. Found a couple of hairs in the meal. Mentioned it to the staff, not expecting anything back but just to make them aware as they were busy. We were then approached by the manager who got aggressive, accused us as liars and said it wasn't the staff hair. Fine, not getting in to an argument but he did agree to remove the cost from the bill as we couldn't eat anymore as it put us off. The bill was amended but incorrectly. When we questioned this, he got very aggressive again and said he'd had a long day(not our fault) then took photos of us and said we can phone the police if we want, all in a very busy restaurant. No apology was offered. The waitress was very helpful and understanding and couldn't apologise enough for his actions. It is a shame, the food was lovely but we will not be returning due to his attitude. As mentioned in previous reviews, the manager is in desperate need of a customer service course.

Even 1 star is for the drinks. Never ever recommending this place to anyone. We need to order all what you want at a time but comes in cold. Throwing food at customers plates even there is no space to keep them on table worst service ever worst management

We had my wife birthday day meal at planet paladum...staff, food, and atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. I can recommend this restaurant....probably the best in yarmouth.

Like most of the frontal restaurants, very uninspiring but don't be fooled. Food was lovely, staff helpful on choices and willingness to adapt meals. Will certainly be back when in the area 👍

Very tasty food and friendly service. I find the curries slightly too sweet but apart from that no complaints.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! The most awful manager I have ever come across. Rude, awful food and totally overpriced. Manager should take a course in customer service or be sacked! Better off with a ready meal from the supermarket.

We nearly didn't come because of the low rating but we're so glad we did as we had some of the best Indian food we'd had in a long time. Loads of choice and really tasty. None of the problems other reviews mention - no issues with waiting, nice helpful staff, efficient service etc. Everyone else seemed happy with their food too.

Waited nearly 2 hours for food and then when it did come, it all came at once. starter and main..there was a table of 12 in there but we ordered first the only good thing was a young girl that was very polite and nice both the managers were quite rude and told us to order online which we did so the chef would get it quicker but still nearly 2 hour wait we would have left if we haven't already paid....Will not be back.

An awesome, busy and popular place. A great range of favourites and specials at good affordable prices. The food is rich tasty and filling, and the service was second to none. I have been twice and tried different dishes on each occasion but the quality remained. You do not have to book but i would advise it. Open from 530pm it means it can accomodate those who like to eat early. There is free parking within walking distance on the streets or just a walk along the sea front if staying local. There are some good restaurants in great yarmouth but i would highly reccomend this place...
