Pub on the Prom in Great Yarmouth

I wasn't staying here this time, but I hope to in the future. I just popped into the Mermaid bar, which is part of the hotel, for my early evening meal. The bar staff were very friendly, polite & welcoming. I asked if they were doing food & was told that they were, from breakfast at 9.30am through to 9.00pm.I had a jacket potato with prawns in Marie Rose sauce with homemade coleslaw & salad garnish & it was delicious & filling. My waiter was very polite & friendly too (service with a smile, which you don't always get these days!).The bar area itself, has a warm & welcoming atmosphere & is very clean, tidy, comfortable & has an accessible entrance & toilet, (which is spotless!) a bonus for us disabled people. I would highly recommend this place. I will definitely be going back! 😀👍🏻

Absolutely love this place, the staff are amazing, special shout out to Jamie, she's a gem 💎, wouldn't be the same without her, credit to Ricardo top gent and new chef Tom, absolutely stunning specials, I have posted a photo of the salmon, it's just lush, I would highly recommend this place for any occasion, family meals, drinks and parties!. It's also a hotel but as I'm a local, haven't made use of this facility.It goes a long way to have staff that willingly connect and engage with their customers, not just a sale, it brings people back time after time, as well as providing a more memorable experience, this I'm sure will go down well for those who are visiting Great Yarmouth during their holidays.

Went to the pub attached to the hotel, it's called Bar/pub on the front. Visited mid afternoon, it had a good atmosphere, not too loud and quite relaxed. Found a nice comfy sofa and enjoyed a couple of beers. Got some food later on Lamb Burger with a fried egg and chips which were lovely and a change from the usual type of burger. Also got some of the best Onion Rings I have ever eaten. They were massive and wonderfully crunchy, batter was superb. Judging from the Front at Yarmouth this seems to be the best there is. Depending where you palk definitely worth the walk.

Well a bit disappointing, got the impression that they couldn't be bothered 😕The salad was so old it wasn't even fit for the bin ! .when I told the waitress she apologised ,told the manager but he didn't even come over to apologise himself! ...NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! 🤨🤔🤔Shame really as was looking for somewhere for 26 people to have food & drinks next mth !! THERE LOSS !😝😝 would of really boosted there takings !!

Lovely friendly place to have a quiet drink , a lot of people in the bar area but it was somewhere you can go and find a quiet corner , during the summer it also has a nice area to sit outside and people watch whilst having a pint or wine.

Wonderful hotel very clean , comfortable staff really great food has been excellent., Cater for diabetics chef is very helpful with diets,nothing is too much trouble. Would come again.

We needed a decent breakfast and stumbled across this gem of a pub! Our full English was tasty. Service was excellent and the manager and his team couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and accomodating.We were very impressed with the quirky decor. Prices were reasonable too. If staying longer would have defo tried Sunday roast.Well worth a 5 star recommendation!

We called in late afternoon after a lovely walk. The sun Terrace was inviting with the shining Sunshine. The Terrace has glass wind screens too, which stops any cool breezes.At the time of our visit the Hotel bar had supply issues with certain drinks and disappointingly Stella Artois was a victim. Bar/Terrace was pleasant enough, however I visited 3 years ago and nothing had really changed since and looking at parasols, table and chairs it may be time for a little make over.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel and it was very comfortable. Big rooms. The location was fantastic. The staff were polite and helpful. We had breakfast in the green room which was tasty. The hotel also has a pub which is on the corner which do food and you don't get any noise in your room from the pub. Would definitely stay here again.
