The Boathouse in Great Yarmouth

Perfect venue for a Sunday lunch - actually lunch any day also works. Have not been here for a couple of years as a result of Covid but no need for concern as the standard has not diminished at all. The very busy restaurant was good to see. The food and service was still good taking into account the numbers being catered for. Our party had the roast beef, roast pork, fish and chips and pizza. Quantities were generous and the quality excellent. Located next to the Broad, the views were tranquil and the fresh air bracing. The serving staff were courteous and attentive despite being rushed off their feet. Very good value for money. Looking forward already to a return visit very soon. Well done The Boathouse.

Always lovely here. I have used the place on and off for best part of 50 years as I live in Hertfordshire and never fail to visit when I'm in Norfolk. Excellent food, beverages in a tranquil setting

Great location and fantastic service. Arrived today for a couple of nights. A really warm and friendly welcome. The lodge we are staying in is spotlessly clean. Although we haven't eaten here yet the menu looks very good. Hopefully the food won't disappoint.

We have been here several times now. Staff are unwaveringly helpful and, no matter how busy it is, the food comes out perfectly. A calm, happy place for all ages and dietary requirements. We highly recommend.

Me and my family booked a fairly large table for The Boathouse this evening, we haven’t been here since it was owned by someone else I believe many years ago. Anyway, the staff were so lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The chef even made a prawn salad for one of our family members even though it wasn’t on the menu - thank you!I’d especially like to thank Paige for her help throughout the evening, Paige is a real asset to The Boathouse plus the other two waitresses (sorry I do not know their names). I chose the beef carvery and it was the perfect portion size for all family members that had it. The children's meals were satisfactory with the portion sizes and you could tell the chicken goujons really were homemade. You definitely pay for what you receive. We will definitely be returning even if it’s just for the views plus the kids loved the outdoor play area.

Haven’t been here since lockdown. Hasn’t changed. Excellent Sunday Roast , table service, no carvery. Service excellent , food bootiful, atmosphere great and relaxed. Dogs allowed. All in all an excellent way to spend time on a Sunday. Recommend and will start to use regularly now.

We stayed for 2 nights in early December and would highly recommend. The place is just lovely. They had a jazz band on the Friday which was a great way to start our weekend with dinner. The service was brilliant from everyone we interacted with. Standards great and food lovely. The chef was very accommodating for my diet (vegan and gluten free) We will definitely be returning when we can!

We feel very lucky to have found such a lovely place for a weekend break. The team were all delightful and made you feel so welcome. The ale selection is great, the food is delicious, and the room we stayed in was incredibly comfortable and cosy. We’re looking forward to coming back already.

The Boathouse is such a beautiful place. Me and my wife have just got home from such a lovely nights stay. We had such a lovely welcome and given emergency details in case of evacuating, and they also said if we needed anything not to hesitate to ask. We stayed in the Broads View room which was stunning. The view was superb of the broads, the room was so immaculate. We both had a superb nights sleep on a very quality mattress and bedding. The bathroom was just lovely, the bath was deep and very relaxing. Free wifi and good guest information with restaurant menu in room. We had an evening meal which was great quality food at great prices. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is also worth every penny, such a great menu choice with generous portions. We will definitely be returning. And also would highly recommend this beautiful establishment. 10* from me not 5.

This place was absolutely amazing, we stopped for a drink.The food look great, the atmosphere was wonderful.The staff were very friendly and attentive to young and old, and fluffy.But the best part dogs were made very welcome, which make me want to return with my family for a meal.Thank you to one special staff member who made my my little dog feel very special, you really made her day. Thank you.I will recommend to all my friend.
