The Lacon Arms in Great Yarmouth

Great pub! Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Food served is of excellent quality, good value for money and all the family catered for. Also has a great playarea for the children.

One of the worst carveries I’ve had. My wife’s beef was comparable to the surface of Mars and my half chicken tasted like it had been oven cooked at 600 degrees for at least 3 days (quite possibly alongside the Yorkshire pudding). The waitress said she’d let the chef know, which left me with a sense of comfort, but I don’t think the message was passed on. Also for the kids, Macaroni and Cheese didn’t go down well, which was described as “Too spicy” and surprisingly was laced with pepper.Apart from the carvery experience, the pub seemed nice. I don't like leaving negative reviews so I hope this will allow for some improvement as this could be a great venue.

I want to start with a massive thank you to all the team at Lacon Arms for making my Mothers Day so special. We had a table of many allergies from Gluten, dairy free and soya free but this was no trouble for them and never made us feel a bother where in restaurants before it has felt that way. My daughter is highly allergic to dairy and also has a soya allergy too which as you can imagine I was very nervous about taking her out to eat but Alice sat down with me and spoke through everything making sure it was all safe which really made me feel at ease and was a lovely touch. You can tell she takes pride in her work and really does care about giving the best customer service! Also a big thank you to the chef (sorry I didn't manage to get your name) for taking your time to come over to the table and speak to us too again not many places would have done this on a very busy day. The food was fantastic and my daughter definitely enjoyed her first ever carvery and dessert as she has never been able to eat a dessert out before! I have to say Lacon Arms has been the best restaurant/pub I have eaten at that caters for everyone from dietary requirements to allergies you are doing an excellent job! We will be back again I'm the Summer!

A really lovely pub by the sea. Had a lovely meal, proper pub grub. Was served by Katie who was amazing. The garden is perfect for children with a great play area. Highly recommended.

Personally didnt like the food. Used to be good when you could get your own carvery but not anymore. The onion gravy ruined my whole dinner. The mash was dry, and I went with my family and none of them really liked it. Not worth the money as it wasnt even cheap.

Me and my partner had the 2 for 1 Sunday carvery, we called up the day before to book a table and they was happy to helps us, we arrived on the day and we was met with friendly staff and our service was good and the staff was really calm

Great pub and situated with a sea veiw, and a large car park situation at the side. We went a couple of times just for drinks. The staff were pleasent and accomadating. Before you enter the pub don't forget your table number if you don't have the app.

Lovely pub, with garden and kids play area. Also it's dog friendly and very close to the beach

Turned up without booking and the lovely staff welcomed us, a party of 6 and 2 dogs, with genuine warmth. I had a problem with my meal and they couldn't have done more to sort it out. We are so thrilled with the size and quality of the meals that we will definitely go back before we go home. Top notch service Sian & the ladies and thank you from the pea loving pooch x

Best Prawn pasta I've ever tasted!! So creamy and full of flavour!! I don't mind peeling my prawns but some won't. The other dishes ordered was spot on as well!! Yeah it was £10.95 for my dish but I would definitely pay that again!!! Definitely will be back later on in the week!!
