The Smokehouse in Great Yarmouth

Visited The Smokehouse whilst on holiday at a nearby local holiday camp. Food is absolutely amazing and so reasonably priced. 3 course meal with drinks and upgrades just over £70 for 2 of us. All the staff are lovely, friendly, polite and professional. Was served by the lovely Michelle who constantly goes out of her way to make sure everything is fine. Talks you through the operation of how things work here and explains before hand if there is something that they do not have on the menu rather than waiting till you order. They don't leave you sitting there waiting for ages as food comes out pretty quickly. 5 star all round service

Amazing venue, live music, the entire place is just fantastic, our server Roxy was so lovely and friendly she made us feel so welcome. The starters were quite small for the price but I wouldn’t let that stop you from going as the food is incredible we had the sliders and the brisket for mains and chicken tostados and burnt ends for starters.

I don't usually take the time to write a review but I felt this place was definitely worth writing one for. We came last week on our holiday to Great Yarmouth. What can I say... Wow! The food was absolutely fantastic and I have to say probably the best meal out I have ever had. Grat portion size and the meat was incredible. All staff were friendly and I would come back to Great Yarmouth just to come here again. Keep up the good work.

We came and enjoyed a 2 for 1 burger meal, it was very good, huge and lovely fries and Coleslaw. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. A huge lunch for two, with drinks and under £20: I'll come back again.

Bit disappointed in the meal here, had high hopes but was a bit of a let down. We like places like hickoryssmoke house and enjoy trying new places so thought we would give this a go. Parking is very scarce so get there earlier and good luck. No disabled or even really designated parking. Staff were friendly and there was alot of them but some seemed to be very new and not knowing what to do alot of the time. Warm soda served with ice and slide glass, cool it yourself. Sister enjoyed one of their ales. We ordered the sharing starter and while it was a lot of food it was all pretty average. We had to ask for separate plates as it was a pig plate with not much room. The wings were not cooked properly, looked raw in the middle and very bland. Everything was very salty. Best part of it was the Mozzarella sticks, the rest was just average. Dinner arrived and the pulled pork in the slider was mushy and wet, not even like sauce wet, just like sweaty wet. The chicken slider was also very salty. Alot of it was very salty and not enjoyable. While they were large portions of everything, it was very mediocre. Slider rolls we dry and very unappetising. The brisket was nice and there was a good selection. Prefer Hickory smoke house personally. Dont think we will be back again. There was also a random magician? Why?. Your guess is as good as mine.

Amazing food. Does exactly what they say, it's very easy to say you are a smoke house and half attempt it. This evening, our first time here, was perfect.Great bark on the meat and the seasonings and prep work really shows through.I had the BBQ mixed, my other half had the rack Sabbath, a beef rib. And our two children had the hot dogs.My mixed was perfect, great size, the pulled pork was not too sickly like it can be, the ribs oh my, the meat falls off the bone, great flavours. The brisket was soft and melt in my mouth awesome.The hot dogs where a sight! Nice snap to them as should be.The rack Sabbath was soft and melty and barked and perfect, the show stopper of the evening.All staff where lovely, our server especially.2 extremely picky things, the car park is too small and the ordered hot sauce was forgotten, nothing major and never upset the evening.I will be back at least 5 times because of what else I need to try!Thank you! Keep up the great awesome tasty work!

Unbelievable portions.. Best short rib i have ever had.. Lacking on the allergy front though more training and guides needed.. Still great looking place and good food

We decided to visit again, after visitinga few weeks before. Made to feel welcome on arrival, booked table online for myself & boyfriend, but forgot to put down we had our dog. But the staff were very accommodating & found us a table. Place has a warm & welcoming feel to it, staff are very friendly, helpful & polite. Food was amazing & delicious. Really lovely place to eat & drink. Great place all round, can't fault anything. Highly recommend & will definitely visit again. Definitely deserves more than a 5 star rating.

In summary: Very tasty American style food, fast service, price as expected and friendly helpful staff. Pre-booked table for 4 with two dogs. Dogs welcome in the bar area only but all food can be ordered and eaten from there. We asked if we could sit outside as it was a nice day and thought it would be easier all round with the dogs. Unfortunately they do not serve food outside. I find this odd, but I guess there must be a good reason. The food arrived within 15 minutes. Portions are very substantial so if you think something seems expensive there's a reason! I ordered 10oz Sirloin cooked medium. It arrived medium/well but was very tasty. An all American steakhouse affair with lots of choice on the menu. I would recommend.
