The White Swan in Great Yarmouth

Excellent restaurant and down graded the star as my lobster was overcooked and dry. Other than that super staff and potential for another visit if we get down again. The wet fish shop looked brilliant. I would eat my way through the produce, if able!!!

My mum received some vouchers for her birthday so we decided to use them. On arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly. A good choice on the specials board and main menu. We both decided to have the pan fried cod with gnocchi and samphire and it was out of this world. The cod was so flaky and the dish itself was a very good portion. The gnocchi was a great accompaniment along with the cockle sauce and samphire. It was seasoned to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I grew up in Great Yarmouth but now live in Nottingham so it was so nice to get to taste fish as fresh as it comes! A wonderful addition to Great Yarmouth. Good luck for ongoing success.

Sea food to die for! They do steak too. A charming restaurant by the river. The fantastic staff serving were friendly and very willing to be helpful. The food we had was superb from the Taramasalata starter to the cod and the skate and the smoked haddock, all amazing. 5 stars

A little gem of a restaurant. First class food and first class staff. A great location, with a carpark! Next to the river and a medieval tower.

We dropped in without a booking and although they were fully booked, they managed to fit us in as we only wanted fish and chips. Although not on the main menu we were served with perfectly cooked, fish, chips and mushy peas. The next guests arrived early and we had not finished it was all handled very professionally. Thank you.

Absolutely faultless. Treated two friends to a meal here and it was our first time at the white swan despite all being quite local. We all agreed it is our new favourite restaurant. Food was beyond special and the whole evening was unhurried. Staff are friendly and obliging and we had an amazing evening with the very best seafood dishes in the town and beyond. Cant recommend it enough. Cant wait to return. Everything on the menu was value for money. Little wonder they were voted in the top three of Norfolk restaurants by eastern daily press. Five stars.

This was my 3rd visit and although the previous visits have been excellent, this visit however, was exceptional. Lovely lobster bisque, followed by a mixed seafood starter with an Asian twist, then beautiful poached Halibut, finishing with a delicious home-made cheesecake. A tremendous meal, well done.

The menu was limited, but was very nice. My husband had the cod and chips and I had the seafood platter. It was wonderful and amazingly well presented and priced

Loved the seafood platter, although the smaller option would have been better for two people, perhaps that should be pointed out at the time of ordering as we don't know the portion size. Danny is great and very charmingHope you are super successful and thanks for opening up on an otherwise closed night. Also the oysters were wonderful.

Fish and no chips sadly.Really stingy portion size, not even fit for a child. The picture was actually of the generous one, 26 chips!!!!!, 22 on our other one (actually mostly bits, not even full chips). It was well cooked but unless you are on a really strict diet and trying to lose weight then it was just overpriced and disappointing.
