Green Man in Harlow

We visited The Green Man on the 1st April to celebrate my two daughters birthdays. Lauren our waitress was first class she took all our orders for meals and drinks. We received them very promptly. The restaurant is absolutely lovely all lit up. Service was excellent. Will be back again soon

I met with a group of friends last night for dinner at The Green Man. We had never been before but we had a lovely evening. The pub is cosy on a winters evening with the addition of fairy lights. Janna really looked after us, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Janna was welcoming from the moment we were seated and continued to be friendly & attentive throughout. Thank you, I'm sure we'll be back!

Went as a party of 4 for a late Sunday lunch. We all had different starters and main courses...1 of our party is a vegetarian. Every dish was great, from taste to presentation. Staff were great. Would highly recommend.

Had a fabulous meal at Green Man last night. Ordered a fillet steak and was cooked to perfection; medium so not overcooked. Only minor moan was that we had to wait quite a long time for our drinks, we had to wait 20mins but other than that a great night enjoyed.😊

We had a really enjoyable meal last night and was served by Megan. Such a warm, positive experience. We will definitely visit again.

I booked a room for the night thinking it was a small pub with a few rooms above it. Turned out to be a massive building out back similar to a chain hotel.Check in was easy and the staff were helpful.The room was shocking though. The smoke detector was covered up with a plastic bag. Fixtures were dated and dirty. Bed was hard and electrical fixtures had exposed wires and switches that weren't fitted to the wall properly.A hole had been drilled through the door with a circular saw then covered up with two bits of square plasterboard. Just a mess..I complained to staff who offered to move rooms, however I'd had a 16 hour day and wasn't in the mood to be messed about. 4 nights cancelled.I can't comment on the pub because I didn't eat there. From what I could see, it looked nice.

Went to the Green Man in Harlow for a family Christmas lunch. There was 11 of us in side room. The food was great and our waitresses were great. Megan M served us most of the time and she was so friendly. Serving a large group of people out for a good time isn't easy but nothing was too much trouble for her! Would definitely go there again. 5 out of 5!!! Merry Christmas to all the staff!!

They have excellent food and very good beer. The hotel room was also really comfortable and quiet. I would return to them anytime!

Had the veggie roast dish and the chicken burger. The veggie roast plate looked like they dropped the gravy on it without looking. It was way too salty. I think the gravy should be given on the side and not spread already on your dish.The chicken burger had 2 patties with a really heavy batter deep fried. Doesn’t make sense. It was missing simplicity I think. The chicken batter can be a bit less heavy and the burger could be a little less stuffed.Service was really good though. Hence 2 stars.
