Isot Restaurant in Hertsmere

Food was ok but a little pricey, and the rice served with the main course kebabs (slightly overcooked, but better than undercooked) was barely warm. We returned here as we had visited before, but we were disappointed this time. Taking account of the service charge added to the bill this ended up being an expensive meal.

Food has improved somewhat recently. The cold platter is delicious and portions are generous. Order extra bread though as they don’t give you much. I would say it’s not the best place to eat in, service is not great so we use it as a takeaway now.

Decent ambience and service. Meze were good and plentiful, whitebait were delicious. I had mixed shish main course which I enjoyed, especially the lamb. My wife had salmon, which was fine. The mashed potato was average and the runner beans a bit stringy. Cheesecake was served hot, which we weren't expecting. With cold drinks, Turkish coffee, Peroni, bread and olives it all made for a tasty and satisfying meal. Not cheap, but I thought it was reasonably priced.

Ok food, horrible service, high prices. Charge for pita bread beyond first small portion, no Turkish tea. There are far better Turkish restaurants / ocakbasi close by.

Great food and a friendly vibe. Portions not over generous, but I don't mind that. Only the prices, which were a little higher than maybe they should have been, prevent Isot getting five stars.

Excellent food, poor service, more interested in serving takeaway customers than seated diners.

Ordered a delivery and was waiting for two and half hours. I phoned isot after an hour and a half and they told me my food was on the way half hour later and it still hadn’t arrived. After repeatedly calling the food turned up after 2 and half hours late and was freezing cold. The staff were very rude by this point but offered me a full refund. After eating the cold food they called me to only give half a refund.Very long wait, cold food and rude staff.

Nice people, quick order taking and fast delivery which is really good. Delivery chap really friendly. The reason I have given 3/5 is because food arrived luke warm and unfortunately lacked taste. The rice was luke warm, chicken warm (ish). Vegetables were hot. Ordered Veg Moussaka and Chicken Shish. taramasalata top quality though.

From the moment you step in this place the waiters give you a great feeling. Very congenial team, it is a friendly restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. tasty cooking, skillful chef, reasonable pay and nice service. Highly recommended.
