The Admiral Byng in Hertsmere

I love this pub, not only are the staff amazing but food has always been great, so kudos to kitchen staff who we don’t see. The decor may not be “modern” but they make up for it in service! Family friendly as well which is why they have so many regulars.

As far as spoons go, this is below the standard. Seen better. Had no kitchen staff when we were there

Food standard wetherspoons quality. Cheap and reasonable. But the place feels old and needs a face lift.

What can I say, its a weatherspoons and up to their high standard on their breakfasts. I love trying any weatherspoons as I find then in any towns that I come across that has one there.Also they are so reasonable on price that's a big point with me. Good and reasonable.

You can't beat a wetherspoons! Completely acceptable place, cheap with a nice atmosphere. Steak on Tuesday was a little underwhelming but other menu choices and their chocolate brownie always sweetens the deal! A really cool, reasonably priced place to go.

Nice atmosphere (Monday night). Food is "you get what you pay for" but cooked well. Drinks very reasonable.

What an absolute shambles of a pub. Have used the pub since it opened has gradually gone down hill. Very dark,gloomy no welcoming atmosphere. Positioning of chairs and tables makes it look like a second hand furniture shop, not very wheelchair or mobility friendly. My husband went for breakfast today as he does quite often, however there was NO BREAD, only brioche. Food not good his brother who normally has toast after a fry up couldn’t have this,however ,they brought him butter and Jam. The ladies toilets are absolutely disgusting . This pub needs a good overhaul. Starting with manager as they obviously are not doing a good enough job. Will not be going back. Shame as we have lots of friend in there and was very friendly.

The food was slightly improved from my last visit some weeks ago. However they do have a lot of ground to make up. They had no meat for the hamburgers. The chicken burger was OK but the chips were on the cold side.

Classic English Spoons with a good amount of space and loads of students to spice things up a bit 😂 please bring your pets most of them would be Vet students and will go wild!!
