The Hart & Spool in Hertsmere

Simple Wetherspoon conversion of an existing pub. Lots of film memorabilia on the walls due to the proximity of Elstree and Borehamwood film studios. Usual menu well presented and great value wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks. Worth a visit.

What can I say? I'm prompted to review it so I will. This is another good JD Wetherspoon pub with excellent beer at a very reasonable price. I was in a rather mucky and muddy walking group and the staff were friendly. I did not try the food.

Has to be the worst Weatherspoons ever. Staff just don't care, ignore while you wait by an empty bar. Every table that wasn't occupied on my vist, about 50% was filled with previous plates glasses while the staff justvmulled behind bar. Toilets.....a seat would be nice.

Staff unhelpful waited I would say 5/ 8 mins not acknowledged whilst one collected glasses around the bar and the other person was doing an order . No problem but acknowledgement would be nice

Lovely little local pub near the Main Street! Friendly and efficient staff with smiles. The beer & cocktails are nice

Walked upto the bar and served straight away and greated with a smile and a friendly hello. Good selection of beers, largers, wines etc. Seems like a friendly locals pub. I'm 12 miles away and will be enjoying a pint or two in here again soon.

Super friendly welcome by both the staff and customers. We went for post match good and drinks. Food was lovely, drinks went down a treat. Toilets were super clean.Only slight negative was coffee machine was on clean 45 mins before closure. A coffee would have finished it all off superbly. Definately be back on my next visit to see Arsenal ladies ❤️❤️

feeling a little adventurous we thought we'd try Borehamwood pub grub. One has to be very adventurous to try forum wood pub grub!It's pointless having hand sanitizers on entry if the tables are left dirty with crumbs and possible Covid. I'm not the type of teddy bear to look up crumbs from the table but I was almost tempted when, after 15 minutes waiting for table service and having been twice to the bar to ask, hunger overwhelmed me and my mummy. We got fed up and left. Although the bartender behind the bar was busy there was another pottering around straightening the stand-up drinks ads. Surely better to spend the time cleaning vacant tables and taking orders.

Simple weatherspoons boozer selling a variety of beer and some surprisingly tasted food. Little patio garden at the front for a little alfresco dining or a smoke is more likely.
