First of all - it's a dog friendly pub! And dogs are not just welcome, they even have their own menu! Staff are very friendly, food is good and big portions! Came down on a Jubilee weekend and our two corgies were stars! Lovely!

Wanted to give this pub 4 stars as it's a lovely place with excellent food & drink. The bar manager is great, and she really knows how to look after her punters. Unfortunately some of her junior bar staff don't, are aggressive and inexperienced in hospitality. If she had a better team I would easily give this 4 stars....might try the Victoria down the road as heard it's more welcoming

Didn't want to rate with a star but I felt I had to leave a review.I've visited this pub twice and this last time was worse than last if that was possible. Sooooo disappointing considering the interior is cosy and tasteful the welcome was cold the service was abrupt cold and unwelcoming. I was looking forward to steak night but was not prepared to pay £50+ for the service given. Would not be attending this pub again. Unlike my local The Victoria which excelled in warmth fabulous ambiance and gorgeous interior and outside space a true gem for Bushey x

Six of us went for lunch with our puppy as the pub is dog friendly. Firstly, what a great experience for him; they provided a bowl of water and a bowl of dog biscuits on the table for him. There is a separate dog menu and he spent ages with his first pig's ear.For the people in the party, I can say that the food and service were great. Portions were large and the food was, on the whole, hot and tasty. We had an issue with one of the main courses but received a prompt apology and it was taken off the bill.We will definitely return.

The ambiance of the Pub is very welcoming and it’s certainly dog friendly but unfortunately after ordering our meal it took 45 minutes to arrive. We went as a birthday treat there were 6 of us including 2 hungry grandchildren and they were getting unsettled by the wait. When the food arrived it was tasty and hot. Would give it another go but ask when ordering how long it will be for the meal to come.

Lovely lunch with family and our new puppy. It was a great first trip to the pub for our puppy - he was greeted with fresh water and his own bowl of dog biscuits. Great trip out for us all.

First the good - excellent beer, good food (although a little pricey for pub food), lovely log fire and the friendliest staff you could hope for. However I was a little surprised at the 12.5% service charge for "table service" that I first got to hear of when I came to pay. No mention of discretionary or optional - what was I suppose to do having ordered food - go and collect it myself from the kitchen. Bit worried about going back in case they've secretly decided to add a charge for cutlery/glass rental! Shame, as I'd have probably given 5 stars.

Good place for dinner and a pint.Met some friends here - a friendly place - had the fish and chips and a pint of the house cask ale. Pretty darned good.

Nice pub with kind staff. So far, we only stopped for a quick refreshment (just drinks), but we are looking forward to having lunch or dinner. On a weekday, we found easy parking there. Inside, the main room is quite welcoming, and they have a also a nice garden. The alcohol-free beer is the best of the County. See you soon, guys.
