White Horse in Hertsmere

Best experience ever. I was visiting The White Horse because I was not finding something available in the area.But I am not regretting the choice. Thanks for the management staff and for Denisa, because she recommended me what are the popular dishes and what I can order. The food was amazing and very delicious and also the cocktails worth trying it. Thanks again for looking after me and this is the best option when you are travelling around.

We had dinner a few times here. All I can say is : Amazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great our waitress Denisa was so friendly and kind. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.

The belly pork dish was declared delicious and the other dishes were generally well received. The olive oil/balsamic with the bread was declared excellent by a Spaniard. However, a fair number of dishes weren't available and there was no ice for cocktails. The manager(?) came over to apologise. I had two starters. Unfortunately, the scallops were overcooked and very small. This was a disappointing dish. Service was a little slow.

We had a big booking in the restaurant for lunch today. The service & food from Paul & his team today was excellent. All the food came out together and was piping hot, fresh & well presented.We were made to feel very welcome, thank you!

Had a great evening meal this week at the White Horse. Both the pizza and the dessert were delicious. Our drinks and meal were served promptly and staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly. Great atmosphere and lovely place to eat out!

Went to the White Horse last Saturday and have attended sporadically for years. Staff are always friendly and informative on what they are selling. I went for a close friends birthday and was not disappointed. The food was served quickly and efficiently and was full of flavour. Service also with a smile. Get down to this pub if you are planning to have a nice meal and a few drinks!

Family lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Excellent service and a great ambience was enjoyed by all. The food was amazing - rack of lamb, chicken and brie pie and 2 dirty burgers. Will be doing this more often. Thank you

Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Four of us had roast dinners which were very nice with generous portions and one of us had a rib eye steak which was very tasty. Overall, a very nice Sunday lunch, a bit pricey but quality was good.

We had a lovely evening at the White Horse last Sunday, the food was excellent. Matthew and his team were extremely knowledgeable and welcoming they really took the time to look after us, he recommended us a great bottle of wine which we really enjoyed. Can't wait to go back

Went here on the last day of the Eat Out to help out, was greeted by staff members and given hand sanitiser at the entrance. Tables were spread out due to COVID-19. The service was excellent and staff friendly and welcoming. Menu had a good choice and the food was lovely. Bit on the expensive side for Pub food, but we save money with the money off scheme. Plenty of parking spaces and a lovely Garden if you prefer to sit outside. Would highly recommend.
