Wood Oven in Hertsmere

Excellent food with great choices. Had one of the best Margherita cocktails freshly made by our beautiful bar tender. Would definitely revisit when I'm down seeing family.

We ordered a platter for 5 people, it was really tasty, however the portion size was more like for 3 people including starters. We left hungry. The costumer service was also not very friendly, our waitress said very rudely that my child can order chicken nuggets when i asked for chicken skewer not to be too spicy. And when my husband asked if the platter was for 5 people, she rudely answered “you can order more”. This is not very nice for hospitality/ costumer service to speak to their costumer in such a direct and rude way.The manager offered 10% discount but did not accept our feedback. Again not a very good costumer service move.Conclusion: we are leaving this feedback and very unlikely ever coming back nor keen to recommend this place to others.

Ordered a large platter for 4-5 people for 90 pounds to share. The smallest platter came...if we would have ordered 5 adult plates at 18 pounds (total of £90) we would have had twice more food. Wasn't happy .

Food ok but had better elsewhere. White wine was warm. Rubbish rude service. Shame.

Spare of the moment meal out so lovely.. food , service and cleanliness ordered wrong drink didn’t charge I was happy to pay but they wouldn’t have it. Bill just as good as everything else definitely recommend

We love the Wood Oven. Staff are really friendly, food is excellent and there is always an appetiser brought to the table free-of-charge. Not that that is the reason we visit, but it's a really nice gesture.Chefs deserve an extra mention as we've never had a bad meal here.

Nice, quite environment. Tasty food, slightly more expensive that local equivalent. Clean with good customer service and friendly staff

Great food but over priced I feel. Bought the £90 platter and we polished it of no problem. We had platters at over places of similar food places and struggled to finish the food and took the rest home.

Visited here as we were passing through the area and fancied a lahmacun (Turkish Pizza).These guys served and amazing lahmacun with some really nice mercimek (lentil) soup too. Olives were also provided complimentary.Would recommend!

Absolutely delicious BBQ platter for 2-3 people. The staff are always friendly and very polite. The seating is well spaced so it feels open and airy. The portions are generous and in line with local restaurant prices.
