·

Friendly local bakery and cafe with excellent freshly baked bread and cakes. Their apple turnovers are a particular favourite of ours but everything looks equally delicious

·

Great Bakery, I used to get lovely bread every week but has sadly now closed. I'm absolutely gutted as this was an excellent community shop 😭

Staff could not be friendlier and food could not be better. Delicious bacon rolls and ground coffee with a smile. Highly recommended!!

The food is okay, but I found the staff to be rude and unhelpful. Especially in the early afternoon, understandably they would not have a great selection of sandwiches/rolls, but when I asked for one of my choice to be made they flatly refused.

We had a buffet lunch for 55 people to organise recently at South Cambridgeshire District Council's offices at Cambourne. One of the officers recommended the ladies at Barkers, and I am pleased we followed her advice.Manageress Sandra was brilliant, taking me through the possibilities of snacks, savouries and cakes. We settled on a great selection and picked everything up an hour before lunchtime. Everything was neatly arranged on strong plastic platters and each platter was enclosed in a self-seal bag. Great idea - as we had o ver-catered deliberately and had lots left, so resealed the bags and used the food up the following day, sharing it around the Revenues department.Sandra gave us a choice of crisps - and really pleased we went with her recommendation of the local Corkers crisps, which are produced on the farm where they grow the potatoes - just a few miles away! The cheddar cheese and red onion flavour was good - but a lot of people really loved the Hoi Sin sauce flavour.Cakes were amazing - all neatly cut into portion slabs. We had about 5 choices, including seasonal Christmas plum pudding-style cake and a salted caramel fudge brownie...just let's say there were some very happy ladies at the meeting.Sausage rolls delicious, the quiches (including veggie options) were spot on. Thank you ladies - and Mr Baker. We'll be back end-March with out next order.
