My first visit last night. Nice, what I call traditional Indian cuisine. Good service, food and price. I will be returning.

Horrible curry and serviceThe chicken had a very musty smell and taste to it, I tasted like it was just about to go off. It was like it had been in a container for a long period of timeI also asked for my curry to not be spicy. When I got it was very hot, with a horrible chilli taste. Don't get me wrong, I can eat a hot curry, but I wanted something tasty to enjoy.I could not eat it, politely complained but they still wanted their money.Disgraceful

Popular local restaurant with good choice of menus. Highly recommended.

Always great food and service at The Bengal - both for dining in or take away.

Their takeaway and eat in is always delicious. They are my favourite local restaurant with extremely polite staff. Cannot fault them at all!

Normally very good but this time ordered takeaway of 2 house specials each costing £10.50. My partner had king prawn tandoori. It had a total of 3 prawns in it for £10.50. Shocking. More sauce and no food in it. She was very disappointed.

Went for a meal on Friday night. Absolutely the best restaurant, the staff are always very welcoming - and nothing is ever too much trouble to them. 4 of us ate - and all chose from their new special dishes, and I must say - we were extremely pleased with our choices. Very good value for money. The naan breads were also delicious, and very large, you definitely only need 1 between 2 people.Plus - we got a complimentary drink at the end of the evening.

Hands down the most disappointing Indian meal - perhaps the most disappointing meal of any kind - we have ever had. I ordered a butter chicken which is usually sweet, rich, creamy and full of flavour. This was completely bland and without even a hint of sweetness - absolutely no flavour at all. My husband had lamb passanda and though the meat was lovely the sauce was again completely bland apart from an unpleasantly overpowering aniseed/clove flavour. We would have been better off with a microwave curry from Tesco. We certainly won't be ordering from here again 😕
