George Inn in Huntingdonshire

Stayed 2 nights in June 2022, and had our wedding breakfast and reception (Manchester room).Very helpful and friendly staff, well organised and coordinated both in the run up and on the day. Food was delicious. Decor a bit tired in places, but it's a lovely old building. Bedroom was comfortable, plenty of room, great four-poster bed.Special thanks to Amanda and Toni, although all staff were brilliant.

The George Hotel in Huntingdon is an absolute treasure.We were living there for a month after we had a house fire, and ate in the restaurant every day.I think I've eaten every dish on the menu, many more than once. They are all absolutely amazing.The cod and chips puts most chippies to shame. Their burgers are beyond delicious. Even their garden salad is incredible, and I hate salads.The Sunday roast is also great.But what surpasses the food are the staff. Really friendly, really lovely people, you couldn't wish for better.It's such a great place that even though we're not staying there any more we still eat there.Prices are reasonable too.

Not had much chance to explore the pub or had meal as got there quite late for overnight stay. Staff very polite and efficient. Decor in bedroom rather dated, not quite in line with the decor in the bar. Overall it's OK, not much choice in the area.

Food is first class, good value for money. The staff are polite and helpful. It is good to hear the staff laughing with each other, it shows they get along.Good atmosphere I'll definitely recommend this hotel for a bite to eat, have a drink and relax inside and out.

Great hotel exquisite staff, Make sure you explain your needs to them in advance. I didn't and ended up on the 2nd floor on a fully booked weekend, for a disabled person not a wise decision. The seem to have theatre events every now and then so if you want theatre and don't want to the capital, job done.

Nice period building/pub. disappointed with our room,mould in the bathroom and mastic around the bath.leatherette head board in poor condition. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room 10

Very VERY good for the price. Friendly staff throughout. We were part of a block booking for a wedding with people switching rooms and coming and going due to differing arrival/departure days. They were accommodating to the complications which arose from this. And me being an idiot, I left my shoes and they posted them back to me. All round a perfect experience!

My work booked me in for the wrong day at the George Hotel, even though my work had made the booking error the staff at the George could not have been more accommodating. They let me have a seat get a coffee and help me find another hotel (as they were fully booked, cause it's a good hotel as ive stayed before) and arranged taxi for me to get there. Only downside is I didn't get to stay at the George, upside, my work won't be pleased with the expenses they're are about to pay for.Highly recommend the George have stayed twice before (not third time lucky), friendly staff, good food and lovely atmosphere.

Lovely building with features kept, maintained and updated on lower floors however landing and bedroom somewhat tired and dated. Double room (for 2) had 1 chair and 1 biscuit. We had no hot water for shower in morning. Expensive for room option !!!Good central location + parking an advantage. Only really saw 1 member of staff and she was very friendly, helpful and attentive.Might stay again if in Huntingdon.

Stayed for 4 nights and found the george hotel to be one of the best pub/hotel I've stayed in. The room I had was larger than most and very clean but also had most of its original features. The bathroom was a decent size with a bath and shower,although I only just could fit in the shower because it had a low ceiling. The room was cleaned everyday and tea and coffee replenished. We had breakfast every morning which was delicious and always a good selection,from fruit to cereals to a hot breakfast with lots of choice. We also had a evening meal every night and cannot fault the chefs cooking. Everything was served piping hot and delicious with a decent sized menu to choose from. All the staff at the george are fabulous polite and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again. Well done George hotel 👏
