Montaz Indian & Bangladeshi Cuisine in Huntingdonshire

Visited this evening with a large group having booked the table 4 months ago. The restaurant wasn't full and they knew we were visiting but 2 hours after arriving we hadn't received any food.We had been promised it and told that they were bust with another table. The promises weren't met so we paid for the expensive drinks we'd had whilst waiting and left.The real issue though was that the woman who appeared to be in charge tried to blame us and didn't apologise. Total lack of customer service and empathy so definitely not recommended, very disappointing.

Not the best and probably not the worst. However for a family of four this cost a pretty penny. The chicken was quite dry and had a funny texture to the sauce.I'd say you'd be better going across the road for a takeaway at half the price and twice as tasty.Won't be somewhere I'll rush back too. Saying that my partner thought his was nice at least 🤷‍♀️ so one out of four was at least adequately satisfied.

I strongly recommend you steer clear of this place! Ordered starters and main for 4 to take away. I was violently sick throughout the night and the rest of the party have dodgy stomachs.Never again - his has put me off restaurant curry for life 😡

Very poor food. Two of our party of four have had food poisoning after a takeaway on Sunday evening. Random half boiled egg in my korai set the tone. The food felt reheated from the night before. The naans were 100% not cooked on the day. Cold and like cardboard. Very very disappointing experience aside from it making us ill. Will not be using again.

The best restaurent in st ives for sure.we order for Ch tikka masala and ch patia and it was so delicious to eat.we will be back next week for sure.

Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma, take away was amazing 😍😍 we loved the sauce, so rich of coconutness and it taste so delicious. Mine and my boyfriends’ favourite dishes 💕

Warm welcome on arrival. Nice surroundings and layout. Pleasant, attentive staff.4th visit when visiting friends in area - food freshly prepared, served - no less than delicious. Great value for money, nones wasted.Look forward to our next return.

Had a good meal at the Montaz last night. Food was really good even if it was busy and the service was slow.I was disappointed that the waiting staff kept trying to give our good and drinks to surrounding tables - repeatedly.Note that if you are trying to avoid covid, I wouldn't visit the Montaz. Despite what every other restaurant in the UK is doing now with table spacing, social distancing etc., the Montaz is exactly how it was before lockdown apart from some hand wipes and signs on the floor on the way in being ignored by everyone. Only one member of staff was wearing a mask and take away customers were constantly in and out without masks or social distancing.

Been here a few times in the past. A little bit disappointed this time. The Chicken Korma was very dry chicken and very hard the Keema rice was a tad dry but very tasty I also had Moter paneer which is not on their menu but they were very happy to oblige and it was excellent as well.The restaurant is very clean and tidy with very attentive staff always there for you but not in your pocket which is a nice feeling. All the other customers seemed happy with their orders some obviously knowing what is what on the menu I am sure that any staff would be happy to explain any dish if you dont know what it is.All in all a good restaurant with good food but I had to drop the one star due to the chicken (I did not mention about the chicken as I had started writing the review and did not want special service)

Great food and service.a warm welcome awaits and the food is fantastic. Very busy on a saturday night so I would book.
