Very nice all round venue staff very professional food average food prices a bit on the high side, very clean.

A lovely selection of wines and whiskeys. unfortunately the last couple of visits we've felt unwelcome and an inconvenience to the staff and left feeling like we were wasting their time. Zero engagement and folded arms, whilst deciding out of an extensive whiskey menu, is not something that would put you at ease!!

Good service. Good food. Great setting. Decent prices. On the whole, value for money and a well maintained establishment.

The menu is a little limited and slightly expensive, but that may be because of its location in a relatively expensive area. The staff seemed friendly and helpful and the speed of service was ok. The decor errs towards stark and the main dining area and the bar are very spacious/airy, I wouldn't describe any of it as cosy or intimate. With a few tables occupied, it was somewhat noisy and would benefit from more soft furnishings to absorb some of the sound. It is dog friendly which may not be to all human's taste. The food was mostly good, my fish and chips wasn't as the batter was soggy, the mushy peas lacked flavour, but the chips were quite nice - overall not exceptional. My friends had the sea bream and a risotto and both enjoyed them. There's good accessibility for people who have difficulty walking or use a wheel chair, but that should be expected in modern building. The lobby area that you pass through when you enter The Elm and head for the bar also seems to be the area where the toilets are located. This let down the overall experience as it smelt strongly of drains. Not what you want to be greeted by when going out for dinner. Disappointing as normally these things are easily fixed.I had a nice evening, but mostly because of the company. I will return as it could be my experience wasn't typical, but I'll come here with my other half when we're not celebrating. I'd like to be more confident that my first experience was a 'one off' before we bring friends here of come for a more special celebration.

Very pleasant experience with them - the staff was very nice and the food was very good. Cannot point a single negative aspect with my (first) visit - considering to come back with all the honesty!

Excellent service and even better food. Very catering for my daughters allergies and lovely and helpful staff all round. Would highly recommend.

Well we booked 6 in today to celebrate two family birthdays. We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived. The service was extremely slow, it took over an hour for the mains to arrive. The food was tepid and one of our party described the fish as tough, like it had been kept warm for sometime before being served. Its such a shame as previously we have had a good experience. We will not rush back. Management need to speak to staff about hospitality.

A lovely relaxed atmosphere but with very attentive staff. We sat outside under the ample shelter from the sun. A good selection of quality draft beers and a very fine cider. The meal was delicious wirh a great mix of flavours and textures but the ultimate pinnacle was the lamb, so succulent, tender and tasty. Pricing reflects the the quality of the products and so is great for a celebration also. One of the best meals and service that I have experienced in this blitz of UK dining.

Great transformation for this pub - love the room. Delicious food - good menu changing weekly - and wonderfully welcoming bar - can’t wait to be allowed to sit at it. Bedrooms and bathrooms very comfortable indeed. Staff super friendly. Such a pretty village, and excellent pub garden. Looking forward to going again.
