A lovely friendly welcome from the staff, have been for sunday lunch twice now, food was very good on both occasions, well cooked and hot when served.Good portion sizes too,the desserts were delicious too.. if not a slight indulgence on.my part lolOverall definitely worth 4 1/2 ⭐'s ..

Absolutely gutted to be told on a Saturday night after a lovely first course that at 9.00pm we were too late to have pudding! At no point were our table of 12 told this or given an option to order earlier and this after they put our table back from 730 to 745 Very disappointed.

Well, this is a review in two Brief parts. The place itself is very nice and staff very friendly. However, what drew us there is its name, the Ale House, assuming there would be Ales. Is that fair enough? Well, they had one Ale! on only and when we asked about the Ale i.e. style etc, they had no idea. Then, later in the evening they run out of the one Ale they did have. So, nice place but if you expect the Ale House to be specialist in and stock Ale's, you will be disappointed. Bit odd really given the name!

Me and my partner frequent the ale house for the friendly and attentive staff, excellent food and phenomenonal selection of unique spirits. They are also dog friendly and the dog loves a trip to the ale house too :)

Very good meal, salmon starter,and lovely roast beef, staff polite , will be going again,I would give it five stars but didn't have pudding, service was good but slow and we had to be somewhere
