Both times I've been since the renovation I've been impressed with the food and service. The menu has more to it than a standard pub menu. The terrace is large and very relaxed. I'd booked for a group last time and other friends turned up - staff didn't see this as an issue and interacted with my friends baby.

Beautiful layout and attractive location. We came for lunch... it's a sizeable venue with lots of outdoor seating for when the weather improves. The service from Nikki our waitress was first class... friendly, engaging, timely and efficient. The meal was reasonably good, but the menu seemed a bit of a mixture of standards such as fish and chips and burgers, steaks, etc but somehow didn't seem wide. And priced at the top end. My shredded (why?) lamb was tasty but far too expensive. The pork loin one of our party had was crisp and delicious, if the price was again high end-ish. The seafood risotto and fish and chips were on point. The restaurant was far from full, but we were there midweek at lunch; although I suspect the pricing might put you off coming too often. Certainly worth a visit though. And a very decent wine list too.

Just stopped during the course of a lengthy car journey for a main course here with my mother. She very much enjoyed her posh fish and chips and my seafood risotto was delicious (if a tad short on seafood for my personal liking). A very smart stylish gastro pub with corresponding prices.

Recently visited for a 'date night'. The staff were all really friendly and helpful! The food and drink was great! The cost wasn't bad either! Will definitely return soon! Try the Banana sticky toffee pudding!!!! :-)

I had a great experience at the Eaton Oak, on 2/3, was running a bit late, so asked the bar person Leanne (it says on the receipt) what could be done quickly she advised Duck Parcels, as they were lovely and could be served quick. She was right on both points. Great service thank you Leanne. I will pop in again. Chris

Really friendly service, personally liked the selection of beers on tap and the food was decent. Dogs allowed in the bar area which is big with lots of seating, dogs treats when you come in and the staff will give you a bowl, very dog friendly we look forward to going again! Photo not much help sorry, other than showing dogs allowed inside! :-D

Excellent room, clean, nicely furnished in simple way. Good shower. Excellent staff, very welcoming and friendly. Evening meal was well cooked, well presented and delicious. Free parking. Easy access to A1. Great morning breakfast. Recommend without reservation. Thank you for such a lovely one night stay

Myself and three friends had a very warm welcome when we arrived at Eaton Oak for lunch this week. We were shown to our table in the conservatory. The menu was very extensive, something for everyones taste. We had the fish and chips â…ž.which was absolutely delicious . Agreed by all.We all agreed we will definitely return again to enjoy another meal. Thank you.

Great pub, great staff, but the menu is extremely boring and needs changing before the regulars stop eating there.Being a regular who enjoys dining there I want to see either a more frequent change in the menu or perhaps some “specials” to augment the menu.If there is not a change soon I will go elsewhere in future.

Visited The Eaton Oak for NYE meal with friends. Service was really good especially as they were busy and the food/cocktails were yummy. Only downside was that we couldn’t really hear the DJ from where we were sitting & the dance floor was really busy so maybe need to relocate next time. Room was very comfortable & had everything you needed. Breakfast was very tasty too
