The taproom is OKAY. The food isn’t anything to write home about. It’s decent and fills a void if you can’t be bothered cooking for yourself. It’s more of a bar. The refurb was definitely needed and gives the place an elegant touch and hauled it into the Instagram age. Before it was still stuck in 2007.I would say perhaps change up the tables and chairs or at least paint them to go with the current settings. For some predrink night or just a lazy night out it’s good.

The staff are all really friendly! The food is amazing and the drinks are too! Really recommend for a nice little breakfast or lunch.

The lady at the bar took my order for a burger and I paid, I went to the lavatory only to come back and be told that they don't actually have any burgers. There was a bit of a faff with the refund as well...I'm not entirely sure I'll actually be refunded yet. Probably won't go again unless I have to go back to get my refund.

First visit for some time and the decor and lay-out has been improved. The full breakfast was more expensive than I remember, but it was freshly cooked from good quality ingredients and every bit as good as it used to be. Good service from friendly and welcoming staff, and when we asked for simple fried egg roll for my elderly mother in law, it was no problem. Strongly recommend the Tap Room

Great both for breakfast and for the evening.Wonderful service. Breakfast was delicious and good portions (sorry ate it too quick for photos). We also visited when reggae ray was playing and that was a nice change from our normal evening out.

Went for lunch with friends on a Sunday and chose the taproom because we did not want a roast. Had a delicious sandwich but had to pay extra for a side of fries. My friend didn't get the coleslaw that should have come with her burger but remembered quite late in the meal so didn't say anything. We had an additional charge of 50p on our bill that was removed when we enquired. Service was friendly but the dj was playing really horrible loud music and we couldn't hear each other. Also a dog barking the whole time because it was sat next to the speakers.

Slow service. Hard to spend your money here.Run out of loads on food menu and that's not big so if they can't manage that...No burgers. Were offered chicken burger. It was a chicķen breast so probably from the chicken intended for the Caesar salad. The drinks once they came were nicely made. The staff were very polite.

Went yesterday, was not impressed with the general set up and behaviour of the staff as far as Covid is concerned. The tables were all far to close together and we had to sit at a small table to be comfortable enough. In hind site we should have left a we only wanted coffee and a snack. Did not get a snack after noticing some odd things. Not one of the staff were wearing masks. One lady, who looked like she may be the boss, blew her nose on tissue behind the bar and then served a drink, no hand washing or sanitiser. Another spent ages “plumping “ her long ,untied, hair behind the bar by the coffee machine. No one was asked to wear masks to the tables and loads came in without. Overall I felt uncomfortable and really should not have stayed. Didn’t enjoy coffee as was rushing to get out.

Had a great meal here. Brilliant service even with the eat out to help out making it busy. We were warned that the food might take 40 minutes but we got it within 40 minutes anyway. Chips were especially brilliant
