The owner is incredibly rude, and makes you feel uncomfortable. Have heard awful things about his behaviour to young girls. Nice food, and cooked fresh at the time of order. No gluten free options, which is to be expected really.

Very long wait for fish and chips. Staff seemed to be annoyed that they were busy!! 🙄 Event was happening over at the park, they should have been better prepared for extra customers. Most expensive fish and chips in the area too. £1.20 for a very small pot of curry sauce and 40p for a sachet of ketchup!! 😡Fish not cooked in the middle, all rubbery and batter squishy. 🤢 Maybe they should stick to kebabs only. Wish we had gone to Barney's in Huntingdon.

Don’t be put off by the ‘rustic’ interior, the food is delicious. Plump, white, flakey cod with perfect chippy chips, communication can be a little difficult but rudeness is mistaken for lack of English. Fantastic choice will use again.

Hideous food smells like old oil. Soft fries covered with some kind of cheese slime are terrible I do not recommend

Popped on early on a Saturday, took a few minutes to be acknowledged which worries me.Food was cooked fresh (battered sausage and chips), portion size was really good but sadly it was all lacking in flavour - think they need to invest in a better frying oil.Shame as it has potential.

Popped by late to try and get some chips to go with our dinner and they kindly allowed us to still come in and get some even though it was 1 minute to closing! The guys are ALWAYS friendly and kind and so welcoming! Along with the chips we asked for, they had a few bits leftover from the evening and they insisted we took them!! Can't believe how lovely they are - excited to dig in to my copious amounts of curry sauce!👌

Very nice venue with a cosy ambiance. Decor a mix between old & contemporary. Fish was fresh with large portions.

Ordered via Foodhub as usual. Order was accepted with 80min delivery ( we live about 10miles from Godmanchester ) Looking forward to our fish and chip dinner. 45mins after ordering we received a text and email saying the order had been cancelled. Why did it take them 45mins to cancel the order? Not great customer service 😕

Got takeaway, seemed to be quite overwhelmed with orders, queueing out the door by the time we left. Took a while to cook but it was cooked fresh while we waited. Decent portions, medium cod was huge! Was a Friday night so to be expected.

Been visiting here for years. Nowhere near our closest chippy but well worth driving to. Would usually sit in the restaurant (until Covid) but now we sit in the car to eat take-away. Always great quality, piping hot, freshly cooked fish & chips and kebabs. The cheesy garlic bread is yummy too.
