Great food, very friendly staff and a very quiet secluded location. Perfect for a quiet lunch and an authentic Cambridshire experience.

Not much to say really, nice place to walk and enjoy the river.

Best carvery, ever.Looking at the outside, it's somewhat uninspiring but the food was excellent and very good value. The meat was good quality and a great selection of accomplishments. We were a party of about 16 so took the whole back wall.Staff were friendly and helpful.There are a few cons: the causeway on the way in is in bad condition, and the loos are on the other side of the car park. It was ok the day we went (lovely sunny winter day), but probably wouldn't be so nice when it's raining.

You was right sorry. Your place was lovely! Didn't have food as was closed came on a Monday. But the yard was so clean! Beautiful views and my greeting was lovely and my dog welcomed with love and a bowl water. Will be back again. Don't go to the pub up the road.

A hidden secret, which offers a top class Sunday roast for meat eaters (their beef is cooked to perfection) with options for vegan and gluten free eaters too.I have eaten here several times including their Christmas lunch special recently and never leave disappointed!

Beautiful place very calm

We have been a few times for Sunday lunch and it never disappoints. The food is fresh and tasty with a great selection of vegetables. Just as you think you have had quite sufficient they arrive with a delicious choice of puddings. And I mean puddings, not desserts. Proper stuff! Although it is difficult to ignore the superb ice creams. The staff are polite but very friendly - recommended.

Sunday roast, meat as it should be done. And I had an experienced butcher with me: "Good meat, cooked as it should be".Friendly, pleasant staff. Very helpful with the milk-free needs of one of our group.Deserts were adequate, overshadowed by the main course.Looking forward to coming back again - like a lot of the others there today!

The Sunday roast here is completely OUTSTANDING!!! I am scared to say this as it's the best kept foodie secret in the area and I don't want it to be any harder to get a table than it already is! But the team there deserve the very highest praise. I can't wait for our next visit! Thank you so much! X

This is based off my experience of the sunday carvery only but if thats anything to go by I'm sure the rest of the menu will be good too. The food had a home cooked style that is a rare treat nowadays. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was good. Can't wait to come back.
