Great food as always in the restaurant and through take away, I've had to give 4*s instead of 5 as after ordering for our six guests tonight one meal didn't arrive and after constant ringing and being put through to a full mailbox we eventually got through and was told everyone had gone home when the website said open until 10pm!The lady did say we would be compensated our missing meal to which I thought was a total insult as we have been customers for many years. :(

If I could give 0/5 stars I would. Paid £5 PP deposit with pre ordered food! Was in there 2 hours without getting any of our food! Popadoms were overcooked, beer was flat! They gave out food to the wrong table who only excepted half of it as it wasn’t even their order, it wasn’t till 45 minutes after when the table themselves told us they had our food as there were 2 tables with the same name (even though each table has a number) none of the staff came and told us they had messed up! After 2 hours we told them we were leaving they wanted us to pay £124 with the deposit (£60) taken off for popadoms and beers. Rude staff and awful service, judging off recent reviews I’m glad I didn’t get my food! All gone down hill since his son left! Can’t run a business or restaurant. AVOID IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO EAT. GO TO DHAKA if you want a good curry.

REPORTED TO FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY - DANGEROUS IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES OR DIETARY NEEDS! I called in advance to ask if they cater for vegans. I was assured that my curry would be made vegan and even added it to the notes section of the order to make sure as I have an intolence to dairy having been vegan for three years. My VEGAN curry had PANEER (cheese) in it - I am now dealing with the consequences of my dairy intolerance with an upset stomach and sickness! You'd think that was bad enough, my friend then found MEAT in her VEGETARIAN curry!!!!!! We called right away and spoke to a horrible, unhelpful and rude lady called Mel. She accused us of lying, told us (a vegan and vegetarian) we were the ones who added meat to our curry, that paneer is tofu (when tofu isn't on their menu and it was 100% cheese) and that Indian cheese doesn't contain dairy which was an outright lie and I even had to read the Google definition to her on the phone! She was shouting, made an offensive comment about her own staff, "well he is foreign but he knows what he's doing", lied multiple times about what allergens their food contains and treated us like liars. Reporting to Food Standards Agency immediately and highly insist that all with allergies, dietary requirements or just common sense stay away!!!!!!

As always my favourite Indian restaurant was top notch. The found was fantastic and the service was good too. Our meal was a great way to say thank you to two great friends that built our patio for us. A great night out!!

Really lovely restaurant we visited when in Ipswich. Friendly and helpful staff, the main hostess (and I think manager) was really helpful in recommending dishes and it meant we tried different items than we usually would. A little dated inside, but it also adds to the homeliness. We felt a little rushed at the end, but apart from that great food. I recommend the Kushboo curry :)

Our son asked if he could have a takeaway and the general consensus was an Indian. We have been to the restaurant many times and are never let down by the service nor the food.Tonight's delivery was no exception, seeing us get the most delicious and generous portions of Passage to India cuisine with a lovely addition of mango chutney, raita sauce and some finely chopped onions to accompany the poppadoms. Our only regret was not tipping the delivery driver as he was the most charming individual you could ask for.Thank you all for making our meal prepared and made by you a wonderful one.

A Passage To India is an AMAZING restaurant. The food is exceptional and fresh! They're definitely one of the best places I've ever had the good fortune to eat at! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the chefs do a brilliant job with the cooking! I cannot recommend them highly enough!
