As a family with Coeliac disease we have really missed fish and chips so were keen to try Foxhall Chippy. We tried cod and sausage and chips and were really impressed with the quality, taste and large portions.Gluten free menu is available Tuesday evenings or on request with an hours notice any other day.Highly recommended.

Happen to stumble on this chippy after delivery of a vehicle and walking to railway station. Had to wait a little while, but my cod and chips were freshly cooked and tasted delicious so I have given 5 stars. Good value too!

CASH ONLY But This is the best chippy in Ipswich. I have never had a bad meal from here. Staff polite and friendly. Nice large portions.*Tip as fish is cooked fresh to order tell them what you want as soon as you walk in.

Our go to chippy, the skate particularly is amazing, and you can't find it everywhere so we love to get it here. The staff are friendly and get the food done in a good amount of time.

Great chippy. The food is always prepared in front of you and the chips are never greesy which is a must! Definitely would recommend, portion sizes are also really generous!!

·

Best chippy I'm Ipswich, lovely staff, consistently great food (oil changed regularly unlike most places) and decent sized portions. Always recommend to family and friends.

Went there on a Saturday evening and was met by 3 jolly gents. Fish was cooked to order so had to wait a bit, but that's fine by me. I had a tasty piece of haddock that had a nice crisp batter on it and chips. Certainly not stingy with portions either. I will certainly pop in again when passing and I fancy something to eat.

Hugely disappointed and really quite annoyed to spend so much on a meal weve had to throw out. Previously the food has been good here, but now its disgusting. Spent £23 on a selection of items and frankly it was horrendous. So the only thing my family were able to eat was the gherkins, recommend if you want to spend money on food that's inedible. The scampi was burnt, the 'large' fish was a small soggy mess burnt on one side (no idea how they did that). The sausages were a complete soggy mess and the chips were just a bag full of white, oily mush. Never have I had a chip shop dinner that didn't have a good crispy batter, ours was barely cooked. Chips are usually drained of excess oil, these looked and felt like they were scooped from oil to wrapper with a ladle. Its made me physically sick, how can one order be burnt, soggy, raw, and tasteless all at once.I have been unable to add the photos I took but will do so if I can find an option that lets me.
