The Maharani has long been a favourite restaurant. We returned for the first time since Covid and were relieved to find a lovely buzzy atmosphere, delicious food and lovely smart staff immaculately dressed. Fist rate. Trish

Had a couple of takeaways from here. First was delicious and we liked the spicy tikka masala but this time we had two lamb dishes and the mutton was so tough it wasn't even edible.

This place is located in a fairly rough part of town but don't let that put you off... this restaurant was here long before norwich road became a dive....the food is amazing! these people have been doing this a long time and it shows, welcoming staff and great customer service this is the best place to eat curry in Ipswich hands down....

Had my first takeaway from the Maharani yesterday, it won't be the last! Delicious! The restaurant too looked lovely and the staff were friendly. Definitely to be recommended.

Excellent! We are staying in Ipswich for a break and fancied an Indian.Having read the 5* reviews, we thought we would give it a try.Well, what can I say! It did not dissapoint the staff were nice, the food was really delicious and arrived promptly, could not fault it in any way.100% recommended!

Quality food we has lamb curry and it was one of the tastiest Curry's I have ever had the sauce was delicious. Thoroughly worth a visit if you are in Ipswich and want a decent curry.

We’ve had many lovely meals at this restaurant (and takeaways also!). The staff are really pleasant, friendly and attentive and give good recommendations. Their vegan menu is also excellent. They are also really safe with their Covid precautions. Would highly recommend!

The best Indian we’ve ever had and been too!! Lovely staff, food was amazing, flavours were on point and the service is really good. Staff don’t rush you to finish, they are very attentive to what you would like or need! Will definitely be visiting again! 10/10!
