Good location, friendly staff. Room clean, bed comfort has improved. No air conditioning so room temperature is currently sitting at 25c which is a tad uncomfortable especially when trying to sleep.

Soooo poor and unhelpful. The kettle didn’t work. We were advised to call zero for reception, but the telephone doesn’t work. Went to reception and a receptionist came back. The phones in half the hotel aren’t working (“IT problem”). Turns out the plug socket is dodgy but if you pull the plug half out it works (reeeeally, is that safe?) Also, the air con does not work. It’s hot in the room (25°C) and can’t get it cooler. We were advised that it isn’t air con and to turn the temperature of the thermostat UP as it doesn’t work if set more than two degree’s below the room temperature. Also to leave the window open to cool the room down! But that’s not the point, there is a noisy road out the window and we wanted to close the window to get some sleep. We wanted some milk so we could have coffee in bed in the morning. Reception weren’t prepared to get any in the evening and advised to call housekeeping in the morning (but the telephone doesn’t work) so advised to come down and ask in the morning (so we have to get dressed and chase around the hotel for milk before we can have coffee in bed) And the room was hot and sticky and noisy.

Super hotel. Great location to town, short walking distance. Room size is great and spacious. Good shower. Great bonus of a gym on the first floor and entertainment area on the ground floor.Would have liked more tea bags. One side of the bed did not have wall socket to plug your phone. Have to pay to park your call during the night. Many alternatives if you do not kind the short walk.

We do like a Pentahotel and this one is lovely. Reception is inside the hotel bar as you walk in the door. We had a lovely warm welcome, the hotel is a little smaller to some we've been to but that gives it a nice atmosphere. Our room was really nice, we had a large window overlooking the river. The bed was comfortable and had everything you would needThe bar downstairs is a great meeting place and a nice area to enjoy a drink after travelling

It's my go-to hotel when visiting family in the area. It's convenient for the town centre, railway station, football ground. My only issue is that whoever decided to play the outdoor music from 9am, every morning, including Sunday, needs a word or two.

Awful hotel and rude staff. Don't believe the positive reviews, they must be fake. Very expensive rooms for what you get. Go stay in the travel lodge or a hostel as this would be better value for money. Staff couldn't be bothered and were very rude. Room was dirty, no double beds available even though we check in early. Didn't feel safe in the area or hotel reception. Little to no parking on site. Wont be visiting again.

Really good hotel, very clean, lovely rooms, excellent staff.Just one thing parking is very limited, but if you are a blue badge holder the staff told us you can book a disabled bay nightly,

An okay hotel. Good location and nice decor. Let down by staff and broken amenities. It was also clean.TV didn't work and AC didn't seem to do anything.Good breakfast however the price of food and drink there is insane. A friend's got a burger which cost about 17 quid, and was not nice. Same with nachos. Coffee machine broke both mornings, and one of the mornings we witnessed 1 staff member tell a guest to goto reception and they could give cappuccinos etc, when the guest went to reception, the staff member there said "black coffee is working on the other machine and there milk beside it, use that." Absolutely shocking.Wife was told at 11pm one night when trying to park the car that they can't give her change for a car park (where she had to park because the hotel one was full) because they're a "cashless hotel".

Very nicely presented and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is situated perfectly for getting out and around Ipswich, but also for travel by train. Also, I thought the rooms were a very good price for the standard and location.

Room was lovely and clean. A nice breakfastThe some of the younger staff didn't have a lot of sense or people skills. Had trouble paying for the car park on the screen inside, thought payed for but wasn't till half way home.
