Unfortunately and it's a shame that this place has really suffered from the Pandemic and the restaurant is all but close, however the pub side of the business I am told does ok.You can get a really good curry here and at a very reasonable price, but that really is about it, but well worth the experience.Lots of interesting pictures of the Ghurka Regiment as the accent owner is still l believe in the Milatery. The place is run by his relatives.A very friendly welcome and very good service.Give this place a try. It's looks a little tired, but that's is to be expected with the loss of business over the last couple of years. The place Unfortunately is well tucked away, which doesn't help.Judging by the previous reviews this establishment as certainly been the place to be and eat in the past.Give it a go. Enjoy the experience.

We had a really good meal on Saturday. The food was very well flavoured and the portion sizes were ideal so had 2 mains, 2 vegetable sides and rice. The restaurant has lots of interesting items on the walls and is light and spacious. The service was delightful. We'd definitely go again.

So delicious, so friendly. Best curry I’ve had for ages. An easy 5 stars from the fabulous Tom Kerridge!

Really great food and service. One of best curries I've ever had. Recommended Selkirk Lamb.

We went to the restaurant side not the pub. The Nepalese food was excellent and the service was quick , attentive but not overwhelming. Just as you would like it.

Recommended by my family I visited four days ago and was pleasantly surprised!! The food was fantastic and staff friendly. It will definitely be on the agenda on my regular visits to Ipswich from London. I wish I lived closer. Long may this restaurant last!!!

An unusual location but what a find. Having never had Nepalese food before we were not sure what to expect but it didn't disappoint. The joint owner is a former gurka and aims to bring a genuine Nepalese food experience to the table. The set meal at £15 is very good value with a range of delicious dishes, which they will top up on request although what we were given for 2 was ample. The food was spicy but in a way that enhances the various meats and vegetables rather than over powering them, if you like your Currys on the mild side then this is perfect. We were the only people in on the night we visited which is a shame but Dave made us very welcome without intruding. Recommended.

A real treat! Had the set menu, £15 per head for a 3 course dinner! Starters, spiced potatoes and the Nepalese take on onion bhaji, flatter and so crispy. Mains was rice with peas, chicken curry, vegetable curry, lamb curry, lentil dahl, homemade dip and the most delicious roti bread. Refill on mains if wanted too! Pudding was equally delicious, a dense sponge ball, soaked in a syrup flavoured with citrus and cardamom I think, served with cream. The whole dinner was so flavoursome, the curries were very different from each other but not at all spicy. £15 for 3 courses though! Such a bargain and really nice to try Nepalese food locally. Dave, our host was a really nice chap and clearly passionate about the cuisine. Go see Dave and eat Nepalese you won't regret it!
