Great fishery. Fished the shop lake. Fished for silvers had over 70 out in total. Started with single red maggot on the bottom then slowly decreased the depth until I found the fish...about 3 foot from the surface using single red and casters. Had a couple of bonus carp too including a lovely crucian.

First time there, I fished 3 of the 6 lakes just to got a feel for the place and stock. At the front you have a small lake with mostly small carp i had 2 quickly about 5 pounds. Behind that is the farm lake, I found this best for bream crucian and small f1s, but it also has two 30s one being a ghostie and has the nicer carp..The two main back lakes are deep. But full of carp double size. With a mixed lake behind I never fished.. they have a otter fence around the lakes in all very well run lakes

Myself and my husband and sons have fished at Dents for years, and normally we always catch plenty of fish, but over the last 6 months that we have visited Dents we haven’t caught nothing, I float fish and my husband and sons ledger fish, and neither method has had any results, not even a nibble or knock on the alarms, we have tried so many different baits, from maggots, meats, bread, pop ups etc... we’ve tried all the lakes and nothing seems to work, I don’t know why? fellow fishermen have said the same, and today we sat on the farm shop lakes and watched people packing up early because they weren’t catching anything, we are now going to try elsewhere and give Dents a miss for a while. Also the last few times we’ve used the toilets on the farm shop lakes they do not flush in either the women’s or men’s toilets, which isn’t pleasant especially if someone doesn’t just go for a wee lol. I hope things improve on the lakes, we’ll try again in the summer to see if it’s better fishing.

Been fishing these lakes the last 15-17 years... always caught fish but the last 8 times we have been we have all blanked not even a bite ... which is seriously unlike dents .... tried maggots , corn , meat , boilies , pellets , groundbait , pop ups ... tried float , leggering , everything short of a stick of dynamite lol not sure if its pressured waters or since the work was done on lakes .... but me and my family have been on farm shop lakes and both 2 island and willow lake and still blanking... love the lakes and get on well with Tommy and the staff but something is affecting the fishing here and its a real shame

Only fished the farm shop lake and small lake with my young lad If I'm honest it's not the easiest of lakes to catch on but saying that I've only fished it5-6 times and had a 12lb 14lb and a 15lb carp all the fish I've caught have been in good condition.my lad has had a few small carp 2-3lb and loads of small fish we even went last Monday in the bad weather and my lad had a 7 common out of the small lake and also lost 1my 15lb was the week before so even in the cooler water you still catch just have to work harder for them I will carry on fishing that lake I'm after that 30lb ghost carp

Hadn't been in years so thought I'd give it a go and even though the fish where spawning I managed a few nibbles from smaller fish and a nice 13lb common off the top on some bread later on (about half 4) and shall return in search of tench (I'm given to believe they're in there so I'm determined and this time I've got maggots) its a nice looking fishery plenty of trees and reeds, I don't think the lake/s is/are heavily stocked, you have to work for them but try and you will be rewarded (frankly I like it like that too many places are too easy to fish nowadays)

Had afternoon tea very lavish, beautiful oak frame tea room. Staff very friendly and tentative.
