Had a short stay local to here. Enjoyed a few evenings here. Food was spot on as was the impromptu quiz night we entered. Very enjoyable. Big shout to Max the bar man who kept our glasses filled and just nice to have a chatty attentive bar man!! We will return!!

Very comfortable one night stay. The staff are friendly and the hotel is particularly dog friendly. We have eaten at the restaurant many times in the past and the menu was more limited on this occasion but the steak and chips was excellent. The establishment is under new management having being bought recently by Red Cat, a chain of hotels whose philosophy is for them to keep their individuality. I think the previous poor review was due to early "teething troubles" and that the enthusiasm of the management and staff will make it a success.

We did not stay at the KW hence the no rating on the rooms. We dine there everytime we go to Heacham (6 to 10 times a year) and they never disappoint. Food is outstanding, service is slick and the prices offer great value for money. Love it!

Have been coming for years but it's really gone downhill. The service is slow, the menu is limited and the food not great. Spent £98 for two of us and came away very dissapointd. Everyone in the restaurant had to ask for cutlery, water and all the things that should happen as standard. We had to ask several times just to be served. Really not good enough and has put us off going again. It was exactly the same when we took friends last September, we thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt after having had a private word with the landlord at the time but it's clearly made no difference. Such a shame as it's a lovely place

Poor service.Visited on Sunday for food, arrived with party of 4 at 14.05, stood at door with wait here to be seated for 5 mins to nobody, found our own table in the end and approached the bar and asked for menus, this is now 14.10Bar maid asked her waitress for menu but was ignored and asked a second time, I was handed dirty printed off menus. I took menus to our table and chose food, came back in at 14.15 to be told sorry no food.Sign outside clearly states food served till 14.30 but where turned away as kitchen was now closed.4 paying guests, never again, venue was dirty and grubby so looks like we dodged a bullet and upon speaking to other people they have told me we havePoor service, poor staff, poor management.

Nice traditional country inn serving unchilled ale (yaay!) and decent food at a reasonable prices. Friendly attentive staff. South facing outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Well worth a visit.

This is a gem of a place to stay. The hotel is truly dog friendly, the staff are reallyfriendly, and the food is first rate. Our room was quirky, with a head bumping door to the bathroom, but to be expected in a period building.

We stayed here on the last leg of our walk along the Peddars Way. The food for dinner was lovely and breakfast in the morning was brilliant. The atmosphere in the pub area was good, staff were friendly, and we also stumbled across the weekly pub quiz, which was great fun. The room was nice, the bed was comfy and the bath was a very welcome sight after a long day of walking 🙂 would recommend 👌

Popped in here for a few drinks while holidaying in the area. The staff were excellent and so friendly. So we booked a table to come back for dinner the next night! The same great service and probably the best steak pie we've ever had! A good time had by all and we'll be going back. The dogs enjoyed themselves and all the fuss too!
