Pearl River in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

The athmosphere was warm and we were seated right away, probably as we had reservations. We weren't allowed to order all our meals from the start I e. We had to order main meal after we had been served our starter. The starter (a platter) was great. The main course was so minute that we had to order more as it did not do round. They also did not have cocktails or mocktails on their menu so drinks were restricted. Also, there were no stands for ladies bags.Overall, it was a different experience from the Chinese restaurants I know.I must add that the meals themselves were great and delicious.

This used to be a good restaurant but is now just meh.Too many additives & sauce. The Pearl River chow mein was very dry - just a few spoonfuls of noodles with nothing else. The Hot & Sour soup was neither, just a slightly spicy brown gravy.The crispy duck was dry duck meat, no skin. Nothing crispy. The spring rolls & wontons were far too greasy.It's probably the best Chinese restaurant in King's Lynn but given the competition that's not difficult.Staff are very nice & accommodating and it's still attractive inside.

Well what can I say, very very disappointed ! Service glacial that was even after we had sat there for twenty minutes and my wife went in search of someone to serve us , vegetarian food served on the same plate the meat based dishes!! Plus the waitress didn't understand why it was a problem. I noticed also couples and small families fared worse than the large parties as that seemed that the staff gravited there and literally tripped over each other to keep them happy even the chef came out to them as well multiple times. The only time service improved was when we asked for the bill also the other small groups fared the same, would have stayed and had more drinks but it was a good night ruined.

Amazing! Food was fresh and not greasy or salty like some other Chinese restaurants. Staff were spot on, quick and always available. Thanks

Nice buffet style meal. Good value at £135 for 5 with drinks. Service was pleasant but a little slow at times. Good range of food. Would recommend.

Once again a wonderful meal served at this restaurant.Excellent food, lovely clean restaurant, nicely decorated. All round nice friendly place to eat.Nothing too much trouble, even served milk for my 5 yr old grandson!Thanks to everyone!!

Love it, only down size is the price but you soon forget about that when you start eating, great selection and the duck is great, not the biggest on the inside unfortunately but they make do.They don't rush you at all plenty of time to enjoy the food and move through the courses, starters then duck then mains.You order for the table and not the individual usually so you can all share, pick n mix style.Ps, the starting platter for a large group is fantastic.
