Our first visit here and I had a nice chat with the older lady at the till on a warm sunny Saturday early afternoon and the garden centre was so lovely to stroll around with so much to look at and buy and I got a tray full of colourful plants and I will be back soon!x

I ordered a vegetarian curry from the restraunt at £9. When it was presented at my table, It looked like a child's portion. On returning to the till with the curry to ask, I was told "Sorry, that's how it comes."I returned to my seat to eat.It was this at this point I decuded to write a review. However, as I began eating, the greenery in the curry was stringy and not edible. Again I had to take the food back.I explained that i was not happy with the size or the stringy greenery of the curry and that, instead, i would like the fish and chips. There was non apology but the staff did agree to change the food. The fish and chips were presented but again i received no apology and felt like I was inconveniencing the staff member. Not recommended.

Was quite busy when we were there, but we were warned there was a 15 min delay in food orders, but it did come quicker, was very well presented, nice clean premises & staff were very polite & attentive. Food was good, not outstanding but very good.. would call again if I was in the area.

Really good steak pie for lunch served in the coffee shop. The garden centre has a variety of plants, gifts, etc. Christmas displays outstanding

Lovely place to visit, though things are a little expensive. But you do get, mostly, better quality plants than other (cheaper) garden centres. Staff are friendly and willing to offer any help and advice possible.Somewhere I went with my nan as a child and it will always hold special memories. Nice place to take your family for a meal at the adjoining restaurant too

Had breakfast this morning, we reserved our seats, just in case, were seated quickly, our freshly cooked food arrived in good time. Delicious as expected. Great food, service and thoroughly enjoyed. Perfect place to stop for a break. The garden centre is well stocked and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of parking. All in all well worth a visit followed by a lovely cup of tea.

Bought some bulbs, ornamental grass, heathers, compost.Reasonably priced items, if you're travelling here, l believe teas & coffees, cake etc.Are all sold next door, pleasant enough staff.Would recommend Thaxters for gardening products.Worth a visit in my humble opinion.

Amazing christmas display and all round garden centre, the range of garden products is great and there are plenty of great gift items to suit everyone and all occasions. The staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. One thing i would mention is that the car park has a one way entrance and exit but the entrace is not very clear as the main sign for the garden centre is near the exit to the carpark... the entrance area is nearer to the side of the spar shop next door. I only mention this as i noticed a couple of cars pulling in the exit area and coming face on to cars exiting the carpark as the signs are not very clear.
