We stayed bed and breakfast and was very impressed with everything no complaints what so ever

Barman not the most welcoming, but the waitress was fantastic, very helpful and attentive. Good meal, quality products, will recommend to friends

Barman unfriendly and unapologetic for his mistake! My dad had booked a table for us but upon arrival we got a shake of the head and told there was no booking. Accused my dad of not making the booking! Unbelievable. Assumed we were wrong and made no apology for the fact. In times of Covid we are being very careful where we book and had been here before. He left us with no option but to leave. Never going back where we are not made to feel welcome.

Made to feel very unwelcome.Barman did not smile or speak.Were intending to eat there but drank our pint and went to Carpenters arms at East Winch good food and a pleasant experience.Will not be returning to The Gate.

Really enjoyed our visits Friday and tonight. Great staff Landlord very kind. Tasty food and loved the setting.

We found this place by going a little off of the beaten track.It turned out to be a very good chance drop into place with friendly staff and good pub food cooked well and at a good price too.The Abbot ale was very well kept and tasted spot on.We will be returning again for more the next time that we head that way again.

Nice place to have a drink and something to eat. The restaurant at the back has plenty of space between tables as the present COVID regs. Limited menu as most of the pub food venues but good quality, my favourite was the sticky toffee pudding, nice flavour sauce and perfect sponge. Recommended.
