Lovely place with ample outside seating, nice friendly staff and great food.I chose 2 starters instead of a main and OMG, what an explosion of flavours all of which complimented each other exceptionally well - a party on my tongue!I chose the Venison Scotch Eggs and Candied Beet Salad, truly wasn't disappointed and my full compliments to the chef.

The artichoke risotto was delicious. Highly recommend. Also let me use the facilities next day whilst I was out walking. Thank you kind people!

Poor service but nice food! Waiting staff not switched on or attentive, clearly very occupied with one another and having a good chat. The Hero could be a lot better, especially for the north Norfolk coast. The little things really make a enormous difference and the device etiquette was not to standard. On a positive note the food was very tasty and exactly what was expected! Also piece of advice wearing a bright blue cap during service probably isn’t the best if ideas.

Great service, very dog friendly, steak cooked correctly to order, treacle tart with clotted cream ice cream superb. Very good place to eat.

Had a fabulous few days break here, a great location, comfortable room, excellent food and drink in a great atmosphere served by friendly and very helpful staff, my only negative was a very good menu was limited in my opinion.

Lovely local pub restaurant, very popular. Great team, extremely knowledgeable and professional. Felt very welcome and they were very accommodating finding a suitable table to eat with our pub-dogs in training. Music excellent. Great experience, would definitely recommend.

Food steak) arrived after 55 minutes of arrival. Apart from the onion rings food was cold. Seems like the meal had been cooked then realised that there were no onion rings so food was put on the side until rings were cooked. Wine was nice.

We had an excellent lunch here with a selection of Sunday roasts and fresh fish and chips, with great beer and wine too. Friendly service and if you are a walker a stones throw from some spectacular walks along the coastal path. Definitely recommended for a lunch stop off (although you might not want to leave!)

Small (as advertised,) but cosy and super clean, with very comfortable bed and excellent shower. My husband was not overwhelmed by his Full English breakfast- but my breakfast was fine. The young women working at breakfast were lovely- friendly and professional, as was the very tall young man who took us to our room.We would happily revisit and recommend.
