We've just spent a very enjoyable weekend break at the Kings Head with our small dog and can thoroughly recommend this small privately-owned hotel. Well located for the North Norfolk beaches (eg 20 min drive to Brancaster) and sights, although nearby Houghton Hall had not yet opened for the season. Good bar and restaurant/food (we ate in the bar on our first evening) and tasty breakfast (especially the smoked fish, a local specialty). Very comfortable and clean room. The staff were efficient, friendly and attentive, just right, and the hotel had a really good feel to it. Also with a west-facing terrace and garden, although too cold for us just yet.Well worth the competitive price.

Just had an exceptional Sunday lunch. We were sat down in the lounge area of the hotel bar to get drinks and look through the menu before being taken into the restaurant when our table was ready at the alloted time. Nice touch I thought. The ambiance was just as we anticipated for a country hotel. Our starters were great but the mains were exceptional. Yes a roast Sunday lunch is standard but the quality choice and amount of the fresh veg was a 10. Our roast meats and the sea food platter was really well prepared and presented. There was plenty of staff and I believe the owner was there ensuing high standards. For me the food stood out, and for our Sunday lunch a very reasonable price point. Thanks

Dropped by as we were desperate for dinner. So glad we did. Welcome and Service was outstanding. The food, all round our party was excellent and enjoyed by all. They have a super Gluten Free selection and ample space for Wheelchair access with Accessible toilet. Beautifully decorated. A must visit if in the area.

Luxury hotel, in a pretty village, great location for visiting North Norfolk. We we're impressed by the spacious room and bathroom. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Superb breakfast and evening meal. We will definitely be returning.

Unplanned stop over for lunch. Nicely decorated hotel. Welcoming staff.Well appointed and decorated reception and bar/restaurant areas.Excellent Fish & Chips, crispy batter on fish and nice chunky and crisp chips. The best fish & chips we have had in a restaurant or pub. Would like to come back here for a few days stay.

We are spending four nights in this hotel and enjoying the large room that we've been allocated. The room is spotlessly clean as is the bathroom although some of the furniture is rather dated but still very functional. As we have our Yorkie with us we eat in the bar area as dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. However, the food is nice and tasty but sometimes a little long in coming. The menu will satisfy most tastes and the dishes are beautifully presented.

We had a lovely family lunch at the hotel yesterday to celebrate two birthdays. The staff were very polite and helpful, the food was delicious with very generous portions and our children enjoyed the play area after the meal. Thank you so much

We spent a long weekend here for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. The Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Kieron in the bar is a wonderful young man, so chatty, cheeky and happy. I must also mention Bethany who went out of her way to get me some flowers for my wife. Food was outstanding with a wide choice and the chef would accommodate any personal choices. The waiting staff were attentive, pleasant and efficient. The Hotel is situated in very peaceful rural surroundings. We would highly recommend this hotel as a base to visit miles of nearby coastal towns.
