The Restaurant Sandringham in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

We had afternoon tea last week at Sandringham restaurant.We had previously advised them of dietary requirements. However they brought out the normal sandwiches, not taking into account our requirements. This was then rectified and we received 2 small finger sandwiches each. The cakes, scones and savouries were nice but small and we had to ask for more drinks and clotted cream. Overall it was a nice couple of hours as the restaurant is lovely but the service was slow and it was definitely not worth £30 each. We have since had an afternoon tea elsewhere which was half the price, with much tastier food and much larger portions.

Light lunch while out for a family Easter weekend walk. Friendly service although took a little longer than expected for orders to be taken but overall service is good. I had the Norfolk board which I found to be really well presented and taste beautiful. Certainly recommended

Tourist trap! Booked afternoon tea for myself and granddaughter. Due to cough/cold we decided best to 'take it away '. Rang 4 times in morning to arrange.Only answer phone msg available on all different numbers and one couldn't take any more calls because 'full'. Arrived, explained, waited over half hr. ! If hadn't asked again we'd still be there perhaps ! Presented well but price totally outrageous for what we had. Bone China/atmosphere amiss, BEWARE !!

Perfect afternoon, first ever afternoon tea, sweet and savoury, every mouthfull tasty, super staff, friendly and effecient.

Sandringham used to serve sumptuous meals with plenty of local produce in their restaurant. Now the menu is a little sparse and not nearly as nice. The gift shop used to be a treasure trove a great place to browse. Now it's a little old fashioned and dull. What has changed or who has changed this lovely day out. The staff at the restaurant remain professional, accommodating and so incredibly nice. Please don't change them. Bring back the lovely meals and all the lovely treasures the gift shop no longer has.

Very underwhelming. We had afternoon tea here last week and thought we would have a view over the house or grounds. Unfortunately the location of the afternoon tea is in a shed like structure overlooking the car park. We didn't see the house at all.The tea was overpriced; we got 2 finger sandwiches each and 2 teeny tiny scones each and the clotted cream was so runny we poured it onto our scones. Only at the very end of our tea did we get offered our glass of bubbly. The staff were fine, no complaints, but not very professionally turned out in trainers and fleeces.Certainly didn't feel like the afternoon tea we were expecting at Sandringham.

No welcome after kept waiting after arrival.No communication from waitress. Drinks placed on table without a word. Absoulty no effort put in from the waitress. Looking around the resturant seems we pulled the short straw as all other staff looked happy, friendly and where interacting with customers. We had planned to stay for dessert but couldnt get out quick enough. We asked if she was new which would account for the look of wanting to be anywhere else but here, but nope.food was nice however not the quality I would of expected but service totally ruined our experience

Best pot of tea in a very long while, staff went over and above when my 2 year old grandson dropped his entire babycino all over the floor. No fuss, quickly cleaned and another one presented very quickly.

Nice warm comfortable for winter dining. Food are delish ! Only thing my partner not happy with the Male toilet , smelly!
