Booked in and all is great so far, friendly, helpful staff and lovely rooms, lots of dogs for ours to socialise with. And a bar in the garden, what more can you ask for?Oh yes a great selection of food to play with the taste buds.After three nights giving us four days in the area the R&C was the perfect base to work from.The Staff made everything so pleasant, almost like staying with Family.The best bit was that there were loads of dogs 🐕 but the place was so clean and well looked after that if you are not a dog person, apart from seeing them you would not know they were there.But if you love 💘 your dog 🐕 there is loads of fun places to go.

We had a very pleasant evening, top notch food, drink and service. The thing that would have made it five stars was improving the seats. We sat on wooden chairs with no padding or shaping. Constantly slipping forwards and unable to relax. Glad to get up after two hours.

Excellent food as always. Staff are always polite and friendly. Most of all, they are always welcoming of my dogs and give them treats with my permission. Absolutely love the kievs, and as they are donating £1 for every one sold to Ukraine, what better time to go!

Gorgeous country pub. My partner and I had lunch here and it was just wonderful. We had the spinach and ricotta orzo and the chicken ham and leek pie and both were absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and lovely environment. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Fantastic. Wish it was closer. Food superb and lots of choice. Would recommend the sea bream. Do an excellent decaf espresso too. We went twice in a week. Would have gone more but had to drive there. Staff really good and helpful.

A generally lovely experience in an old building. Food was good and the rooms were great. Nice and clean and offered lovely refreshments. A lovely rural setting. In general the site was lovely and was splendidly clean. Breakfast was excellent. The older staff were superb but the younger staff were quite awkward and conversation with them was rather strained. Locals were good company though. Better atmosphere at the Queen Vic over the road, hence only 4 stars. Place was lovely though and lots of parking available.

Nice pub with a good selection of traditional pub fare. The food here is excellent and so you can't go wrong! Great garden and kids play area at rear when the weather is good and a nice selection of well appointed rooms at a reasonable price if staying over.
