Nothing special, food was pretty mundane, property a bit out dated and in need of a facelift. Garden bar a good idea but not all drinks are available the same as the inside bar. We won’t go here for a while as there are plenty of other better served pubs around.

I booked the room as a birthday treat and wasn't disappointed. The room was clean with a mixture of traditional and modern accessories. The restaurant has a lovely lay out with little anti rooms for atmosphere. Although a little expensive the food is of a very high quality and presentation top notch. All the staff were very professional and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you.Fantastic local walks along the beach where you can watch sand and sea surfers as well as spotting seals. Will definitely be returning and recommend.

Just a one night stay, without our dog! But the hotel is lovely. We stayed in the Holkham, plenty of room and the shower was great and the bed very comfy. Road noise was minimal and staff very friendly. We had 3 courses for dinner and full cooked breakfast the following day and all very good. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Fabulous room - very well equipped and everything working, great to have dog bed and towel included. Staff exceptionally welcoming, food amazing (especially loved the calamari), buzzing atmosphere and great service at every turn. Best hotel breakfast for years, lovely touches like a sliced sausage for the dog very much appreciated!

Very Doggy friendly! Peanut (the pup) and I were on a 9 mile walk from Hunstanton and stopped by for a welcome glass of pink fizz.Good service. Outside garden is lovely!Quite pricey (£8 a glass) but was happy to pay as I was parched!Toilets were super clean. Lovely hand wash and hand cream too.

Popped in for lunch on a weekday and without a reservation. The pub easily accommodated a party of four. Good food. Decent ale selection. Even cocktails. You could just have a coffee too.

We have come here multiple times and it has always been brilliant, we came for Sunday lunch the food was great (perhaps slightly overpriced but lovely nonetheless), we were asked if we wanted dessert but we were then not seen again by a member of staff for quite some time. At this point one member of the group asked for a drink which again took a considerable amount of time despite sitting by the bar (I was hit in the head and back by a few people passing by owing to this seating). With all considered, we decided not to pay the full discretionary service charge as the food was brilliant but service could have been better. When the staff were made aware of this, they were clearly angry and we were told we have to pay the full amount including service charge… when we said we did not have to pay the full discretionary charge we were then told that we are not to come back by a member of staff. We left feeling embarrassed and really uncomfortable. The whole meal was overshadowed by staff attitude. In short they are now correct, we will not be coming back.

We called in on off chance and were made very welcome. We had a lovely lunch with our grandson, friends and 3 large dogs in the garden. Will definitely return when next in the area.

Average food at above-average prices. To be told “don’t come back here again” when we opted not to pay the full discretionary service charge was very upsetting. Our experience seems to be similar to most of the other reviews for this place so it’s no coincidence. There are much better options around the area with staff who will treat you with more respect. But if you enjoy bland food with a side of attitude then this is the place for you.

Called in for a pint and light lunch on Sunday. Pleasantly surprised how friendly and efficient all the staff were and how dogs were welcomed. The food was top class. The Sunday lunch looked amazing and we definitely will return to sample it.
