Not happy they are turning this into a Turkish restaurant!! The winch was a great village pub one of a dying trade!! We had some great work birthday parties there and Xmas, and when the football was on it was a great pub to go to after the game as they put on food and didn't mind within reason the loud behaviour. Will have to join the willy Burt instead!!

We had a Sunday carvery with two drinks £23:50, you are given a table buzzer which will call you when its your turn to get your food, service was prompt, staff polite, tables and area clean and tidy, and the food was good, and typical to be expected, based on the price, service, and the carvery itself which included 3 meats and the usual vegetables we give this a solid 4 stars, would go to 5 if the roast potatoes were not so soft. We will be returning.

Felt very safe with all the measures in place. We had a carvery and it was delicious although it could have been hotter. But then we did go at the end of service.

Our first time here... we’ll DEFINITELY be coming back... happy , friendly staff, excellent value for money.. and great food. Looked after my vegetarian needs during a Really busy carvery day, and my vegetable torte was stunning!.😊 well done Winch Pub!..

Although the meat was cooked lovely and good selection of vegetables.. I was disappointed to only get 2 very small slices of meat, of which one was pork and was not offered a piece of crackling I had to ask for it and was picked up by fingers and placed on my plate ! the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were not home made and were tasteless .. I am sorry to say but we will not be going there again as it has gone down hill since the last time we ate there ..😪

Frozen roast potatoes, no mash potato, tinned veg, tough, stingy meat. Waited far too long for the staff to bring food out so it was cold before eating. Bar man was alone so took ages to get a drink. The only complement I have is the gravy was lovely and stressed out staff was polite

Really warm, welcoming pub with lovely food and good beer. Had a 10oz steak cooked beautifully (blue) and they arent shy on chips and salad. Perfect end to a long day

Can't understand why this great place was so empty. Great pint, nice surroundings and decor but the highlight had to be the food. I had the lamb shank,my wife the rump steak, both cooked to perfection and good sized portions. The kids chose bangers and mash/cheeseburger from the kids menu and were very happy. 4 meals plus 4 drinks came to just over £40,can't get better than that in my opinion.

The Winch was good and atmosphere was good. The Sunday roast Carvery was lovely but could have been hotter. Ordered sticky toffee pudding and custard for afters which arrived cold. Waitress took two servings away and returned with them warmed up but got the desserts mixed up so we were not sure whether we got the correct ones back! Would have been nicer if they had replaced the desserts completely. Apart from this, was good.

Went to the carvery, our table was sticky, had plastic (as bought) salt and peppers pots, the drinks glass smelled stale, so drank from the plastic bottle. No waitress service and had to pay for drinks and meal upfront. Not a cosy ambiance. The roast was mediocre and there was no pork left unless we waited for the next joint to be cooked, but there was a good choice of vegetables. Don't think we'll hurry back if at all.
