The Wooden Gem in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Visited here a couple weeks ago for lunch, we all had the sticky chicken and it was amazing!! Hoping it becomes a regular on the menu!Beautiful food. Thoroughly recommend visiting this place.

Brilliant off the beaten track restaurant and bar. Staff were exceptionally friendly and the owner was very welcoming too. Food was well above average and service was swift even on a busy Saturday night.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Throughout my life I have been to many, many restaurants but I have never been made to feel so welcome as I did here. Jack was the best host ever and could not have done enough for us. I phoned up as a last minute (3 hours before) booking for my husband's birthday and only by chance just mentioned on the phone it was his birthday, whilst yacking on.Anyway.....when we arrived they had put us in one of their lovely booths with a beautiful view, put balloons up, a birthday banner, party hats and party poppers! Oh my goodness, it was amazing! They went above and beyond to look after us all and even bought my husband a little dessert out (with he hadn't ordered because he was full) with a candle, and made the restaurant sing to him.The food was just amazing and the service absolutely impeccable!!!Jack's is out of this world for friendliness, service, food, atmosphere and location. We'll worth a visit! They even have a loyalty card!!!Thanks so much if any of them are reading this. We will definitely be coming back.

A very friendly restaurant to visit. We were greeted at the door on arrival by Jack. Last Friday of the month and they have the fantastic magician Josh Maddox performing at tables whilst you are waiting for your food. The service is exceptional and staff regularly pop round to your table to check in that everything is as expected. I visited with my family and our children loved Josh (we did too) the sharing platter for starter was a good choice with lots of bits to try and something for everyone. Main courses are huge and for someone who loves there food you wont be disappointed. The children's meals are a good size and although the children did not finish the meal we were able to take the food boxed up away with us. We will be visiting again and hope next time we have room for desserts!! Great restaurant, very welcoming and super value for money. Well done Jack's!!!

Absolutely brilliant - despite a full restaurant we were still made to feel like the only table there with the incredible service. Nothing was too much for the staff, very attentive and helpful throughout our evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and we have found our new favourite restaurant! Thank you Jack and team, you're restaurant is brilliant, and the extra touches (as you knew it was my birthday), was just so so lovely. We will definitely be visiting again.

Full disclosure notice..my son does work here.That being said even if he didn’t I would still come here all the time.All the staff are amazingly friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make the dining experience as great as possible, literally nothing is too much trouble.Food is always generously portioned, well cooked and presented.Jack as a host is second to none, his enthusiasm is infectious and puts the diner in a great frame of mind to enjoy the evening ahead.Bottom line, if you haven’t been before get yourselves down here you won’t regret it, if you have been before you know how good it is so spread the word.

So glad this place is nearby. Had a great vegan breakfast in beautiful surroundings both inside and outside. Breakfast choices are excellent!!! Their other menus look good too. Staff very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!

The setting at jacks is beautiful. The restaurant itself is light and airy a d clean. The food is amazing. Good sized portions and always very hot. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly,nothing is too much trouble. Waiting time for food is very good. Highly recommended.

Excellent service excellent food. Never been made to feel so welcome at a restaurant before. We were out on our anniversary and went for somewhere new within a certain distance and Jack's popped up on the map, best random choice I've made. Oh and Jack even came over to say hi.
