Dessert Island in Luton

I never write reviews but this one I had to. This is probably the worst place I’ve ever been too. Decided to come with my family for a little dessert, first of all the faces we met behind the counter looked annoyed that we had even entered the shop.. and then upon sitting the girl at the counter made us move tables near the door which was stuck open (very cold) because she claimed there was a party reserved (which didn’t turn up the entirety of our time there) the table was dirty and we asked for it to be cleaned and again met by faces. The girl serving had horrible customer service telling me I can only have a crepe if I wait 20 minutes.. ‘’do you want it or not’’.. the food was not good at all, we ended up wasting more than half of it. Will never go here again, and I will make sure whoever I meet I tell them never to go. Have a word with your staff. Especially the girl at the counter who made me and my family time there horrendous!!!

Girl who served my friend and my last night came off very rude. Made a vey simple request for a change of sauce and was told in such a blunt manner I couldn’t have it (I could see the sauce directly behind her). There may have been a very valid reason why it couldn’t been done. Sometimes it’s not what we say it’s how we them.The food was nice though and the boy who brought it out to us was pleasant.

Ordered mango and passion smoothie - it was horribly sweet, tasted absolutely artificial and so so unhealthy. Complained to the waitress but no helpful response. Cakes also did not look fresh.

Fantastic place to eat, cookie dough was amazing just as well as the customer service, definitely would go again!

Milkshakes ordered for delivery were not great, nor were they bad. However, after family and I had them, it left the feeling of thinking that we might as well have made milkshakes with our own ice cream and blender! More expensive than places who are better and cheaper.I would definitely try this place again, but maybe in person and different desserts. Delivery time was about 40mins which I guess is pretty standard.

Delicious & good choice of desserts & drinks. I usually go for the waffle but had the crumble which was hot & gorgeous with a hint of cinnamon. The evening we went they were really busy with a well managed social distanced que outside. For takeaways - only one person was allowed in at a time to order. For eating in - our table was clean & hand sanitiser available at till. I would recommend they have a screen at the till though.

I would definitely recommend dessert island but their prices are quite expensive compared to the other dessert lounges nearby. They do provide good desserts especially their waffles and the interior is very good.

Ordered Ferraro waffle and chocolate fudge cake a few weeks back in Luton. When I got back home in Milton Keynes saw this mess. Called the shop to complain but was very rudely told by a female member of staff that the manager is not in. I did read other reviews there was one that said all cakes are made at the shop which is a lie when I asked at the shop was told only the cornflakes tart, Victoria sponge cake and the Ferraro cheese cake is made at the shop the rest were shop brought. The girl at till told me. Not a totally honest owner or business would avoid in future.Owner blames my journey for the mess his staff made. If it had NOT been flooded with chocolate it would not have been a mess. Should train his staff then blame customers for being honest. Customer service does not count here.

Nice little place in quite area where you can find parking easily in evening time. Staff was friendly and courteous. Enjoyed our dessert there and will go back.

It was a good visit. This is a very small venue the leg room at some tables was quite limited. The service was quite prompt. Our servings were quite small for the price we paid.
