La Trattoria in Luton

Lovely family run restaurant right in the city centre and just an 8 min drive from the airport. Really great fresh pizza loaded with yummy toppings… Agnes our host was so lovely! I look forward to going back :)

This was a fantastic experience.The food was absolutely delicious and Agnes, one of the owners, was an incredibly welcoming and friendly waitress.I would recommend to anyone in Luton.

I remember going to eat at La Trattoria in Luton when I was a university student back in the 90’s whenever I’d crave for some Italian food done properly like my peeps do it back home, Michele the chef-owner and wife Agnieszka saved many of my dinners at that time.I’ve recently been back to Luton for business after so many years away and was so pleased to find out that Michele, Agnieszka and La Trattoria are still there. Great to see the area around the restaurant has being pedestrianised by the council, a definite uplift from the old days.Fantastic to see that Michele is still cooking and Agnieszka always running the floor, looking not much different from the way I remember them, a bit of a time capsule still holding the same genuine, authentic, flavoursome Italian food and the hospitality warmth typical of the Italian restaurants of the old days.I ate lasagne, I had to, they were so good!In a world where chain restaurants aggressively dominate our high streets it really gladdens my heart to see established, old fashioned, independent restaurateurs still going strong delivering great food and the lovely family atmosphere you would expect from an Italian restaurant.I must go back soon and enjoy it as often as I can, and hope they are not planning to retire anytime soon!

What a wonderful find this beautiful home from home Italian restaurant was. The food was freshly home cooked and was delicious. The host and her Husband are lovely. Karen and I throughly enjoyed our meal here and it was a fantastic start to our holiday in Budapest flying from Luton airport Friday morning. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant only a 10 minute drive from our hotel at the airport

Love this place! We have been coming for years and just keep coming back. Food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Owners are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. They really do go the extra mile for customers. Proper Italian food in the heart of Luton. I would definitely recommend.

We visit this place for the first time and depending on pictures and good reviews on google we where quiet disappointed by the food. It is very nice and old fasion resturant with very friendly staff. Customer service is very good but to fast. We sit and looked on menu and lady come to us to ask for drinks like in 2 minutes. It is just not enough time to properly look on menu. Food come in average time very hot but not very tasty. The pasta in my lasagne and in my partner arrabbiatta wasn't fresh at all. Taste pre made and overcooked. No white sauce in my lasagne either. Didnt enjoyed our food at all. All to come with half pint of beer and glass of house wine to around £43. Not very pricey but quality is not there.

Lovely homely, very welcoming. The hostess is so lovely and so were the chefs. The e food is delicious and you get a great portion. Will 100% be going back.

Been going to this lovely, family run Italian restaurant for over 20 years. Very warm, family environment and great service. Some of the best Pasta and Pizzas you will ever eat. Great coffee as well, which is rare for a restaurant these days. Highly recommended to all.

Great family run Italian food restaurant had a Main dish Amatricana pasta side garlic pizza bread and a dessert coconut ice cream very nice food for a decent price Very friendly staff and welcoming. highly recommend going here when in Luton!!🇮🇹🍝
